VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Maybe just me but we had lots of trouble with trying to find the site, Google maps, waze, would not find by location of postcode. Maybe add the what3words location to booking pages to find easier. Site spotless, staff very helpful, 5 stars for site and staff, just trying to find it was a pain.

Motorhome - Hardstanding Serviced PitchesAug 2025

Was what we needed. Husband was having an operation at Winchester so we were close by and was a relaxing break for him to recover for a couple of days. Only downside, and it wasn't the sites fault or owners, but we were showed our pitch and when I was parking the camper on our pitch, the people next door (who I believe were seasonal) said they are right next to the grass of their pitch. Didn't say it in a nice tone but I moved the camper over anyway so we had the awning coming out on our patch of grass. It didn't put a downer on our stay, we just got on with it. Café is lovely onside not too pricey, showers and toilets clean and warm. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Shop had items if you needed them Aldi is only about 10 minute drive, so not far.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely pitch, but lacking children's play area, which we expected. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. The campsite was overall a lovely, quiet campsite. We were looking forward to a play park for the children however, that was no longer there due to health and safety which we found a little disappointing. The washing up facilities were a little further then we anticipated, that looked like it was because the ones closer to us were out of order for the duration of our stay. Again, staff were lovely and welcoming. Overall, great value for money.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Serviced PitchesAug 2025

We had a great stay at Hill Farm. The staff were fantastic and all very helpful. Facilities were great and the shop had loads of options. The cafe was a lifesaver as we'd run out of gas and couldn't cook anything on our first night or morning. Cleanliness of the washing up and toilet/showers facilities was ok, but sharing a shower with so many spiders was quite off putting.

Great site, good facilities and great location

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We had a lovely stay at Hill Farm this weekend. Facilities were great and cleaned first thing on Saturday morning. Cafe catered for gluten free and shop had all of the essentials needed for camping. We had to use an alternative wash site always from the tent location due to refurbishment.

Our first camping with the dog and no kids! Was lovely and relaxed. Lovely dog walks. Just remember the pub doesn't open until 5pm and doesn't serve food. So we were a little disappointed with that. Otherwise a relaxing night away.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Serviced PitchesJul 2025

I really don't know where to start, apart from the usual things like pitches, facilities, location all being excellent, the staff (especially Carol) went above and beyond. We had travelled from Cornwall to be closer to our 28 year old daughter who had a stroke at the beginning of the week, thankfully she is improving. On the Saturday night, wanted to stay with us to try and feel normal again, as it was only a pup tent. Carol said they could squeeze her, her partner and his young daughter in, then a bit later during a conversation with my husband, where he explained what had happened, Carol said in that case, you can pitch the tent next to your van in the caravan field, (not normally allowed) and I am refunding you the money, all I ask is that you have a lovely family evening together! After what had been an awful, scary few days, this was a huge act of kindness. Needless to say, we had a lovely evening and we will definitely be staying here again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Friendly helpful staff, easy check-in and signage of where to go and where to park. Warden walked us to the pitch and explained where everything was. Pitches a good size. Showers and toilet facilities good, although someone using the showers early morning had left wet nappy/rubbish and another dirty foot prints. Thankfully, the cleaner arrived not long after and cleaned all this up. No washing up facilities, which wasn't a problem for us but might be if in a tent. This was due to re-organisation of the site, as there had been a building with sinks in but this had been cordoned off. Decent pubs in nearby villages, although not in walking distance. We intended to go to one but were also recommended another.

The site was in a brilliant location enabling us to have lots of fun days out. The site facilities were very good with a shop, private shower cubicles and a lovely recreation area for kids. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

It's our first stay here. Spur of the moment booking and I must say, one of the most friendly sites I've been on. Staff are lovely, helpful. We never tried the café as we brought our own food but definitely next time. I saw comments about wasps and unfortunately you get this everywhere. It does make your stay stressful but nothing the site can do in my own opinion. It's well kept tidy and clean, we will be back. There not much for kids but if you bring a bike and outdoor games, they will have a great time. Pitch sizes are fantastic and I'm looking forward to booking a nice, chilled weekend soon.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

We were welcomed very warmly. The facilities were good and appeared clean. What spoiled our stay, and obviously they can't control this, but there was just too many wasps. We moved ourselves around the camping field but they were everywhere. Also, on the Sunday afternoon, the code for the showers was changed and no one was notified. I pressed the out of hours button twice and no one came. It was a headache with two small children in need of showers. We did head up to the other block and I have to say, these showers were terrible. I'm not sure if there was a problem with the cold water supply but if you tuned it to cold, it stopped working. We made the best of it but had we just been notified of the code change, we wouldn't have had this issue. We had to ask on the Sunday morning as no attempt to tell us had been made. There was only 5 of us camping at this time, so even walking round would have been easy.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Serviced PitchesJun 2025

Hill farm provided us a good base to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival. The only useful tip I can give is regarding the toilet signage on the ladies not being present. It would be useful to emphasise that it's not actually a unisex toilet and shower block by addressing the signs. When doors are open with only the male side being signed it's not obvious it's not a unisex block and my husband felt embarrassed when confronted by the cleaner using the wrong facility. I understand that most visitors are long term but this would be useful for those who visit for the first time. Also 20p for the use of a hair dryer I wasn't expecting and never carrying cash was fortunate that it was a windy day so had a free blow dry. We didn't use the on site cafe however have read it's popular.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

Lovely little camp site. Very tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet, but people may like that. Only issue was the boiler not working in the block of showers we were near, but we went to the other block. Men's loos needed cleaning as were left dirty. Also, no timings on when the cafe was open and closed. Overall, happy with our stay.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

We have just had our first camping trip at Hillside the minute we turned up the lady that run the place was super friendly and couldn't be any more helpful as well as the caretaker of the grounds, the site had everything we needed, the showers were lovely and powerful. The shop stocked everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back
