Motorhome - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Sep 2024 First time camping. Lovely, clean and pretty site. Excellent cafe, excellent clean facilities. Laundry, showers, toilets, washing up area even a dog groomers and a health spa.
Well thought out for convenience and privacy. Great for dogs. Met lovely neighbours. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
Quiet site within easy reach of many attractions Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Site is very quiet but still near the main road for travelling to nearby towns. We changed pitches when we arrived and moved into the Willows, which is a lovely green area with trees dotted around. Owners were very happy for us to do this as they were not busy. Facilities were clean and showers of a good size.
Will certainly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.
Good enough Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Lovely, well stocked shop on site. Wi-Fi (outside company) you have to pay for, £5 per device and after paying, we got no Wi-Fi signal, so worth checking first before paying! Showers and toilets all good.
Camping Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 First time been here, really clean. Lovely showers and clean toilets and the people on site were really friendly. Nice café and the shop on site, would come back again, thank you.
Nice touring caravan site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Aug 2024 Nice touring caravan site, our pitch was a good size and flat. Nice location for a visit to Salisbury, and not too far to reach Bournemouth.
Will come again.
Our stay Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Easy access to the motorway.
Good location. VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Aug 2024 Helpful and friendly staff. Good base for exploring the surrounding area but not much to do without driving. Good shop on site but the toilet facilities were a bit old and I'm personally not a fan of mixed showers. Not a fault of the site at all, but we were bitten to death by mosquitoes so be prepared and pack some spray.
As lovely as ever Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Despite some recent poorer reviews, this, our 4th visit, did not disappoint. Similar to camping in an arboretum, we were treated to birdsong, mooing cows and the scent of freshly mown grass.
It was quiet, peaceful and pleasant. All the campers were courteous and as friendly as you'd expect; the children (and dogs) well behaved. Coffee in the cafe delicious, walk to Gilbert's Garden Centre a dahlia delight. Short drive to Romsey or Lyndhurst or the city. What's not to like?
Wonderful! Recommends site
Motorhome - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Aug 2024 We had a wonderful 2 night’s stay. Carol was very friendly and helpful. The shop could be better stocked as they had run out of bottles of water, paper towels & plastic glasses. Otherwise a great stay!
Hill Farm Campsite Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Stayed for four nights. Staff are all friendly and helpful. All the facilities are clean and the shop is well stocked. We had a very nice breakfast in the Cafe. Hope to stay again.
A pleasant surprise Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 After booking, we sadly read some reviews that made us doubt our choice of site. However, we can say wholeheartedly that the site was lovely, friendly, with a high standard of cleanliness.
There was no hint of any unsavoury characters or foul language and the site felt safe and family friendly. We would recommend the site to others and should we be in the area again, would not fail to rebook.
We arrived later in the day to check in, were actually met by the car and escorted to our pitch and shown the facilities.
Although we had arrived after the shop had closed, the staff kindly opened the store to enable us to purchase a few essentials.
Excellent campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Willows Tent Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely, quiet campsite. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Friendly well-appointed site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Stayed for 6 nights for a fishing trip to the Hampshire Avon. Site clean and well organised. Pitch was level and of a good size, warden was helpful upon arrival.
Peaceful Recommends site
Medium Tent - Willows Tent Pitches Jun 2024 Very pleasant, clean and quiet. Facilities were adequate and suited our needs to visit Salisbury and the New Forest.
First time visiting Recommends site
Motorhome - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches May 2024 This was our first visit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not too far to walk anywhere. Definitely will be coming back.
Good cafe on site, food freshly cooked and excellent quantity and quality.
Our stay Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Felt the Wi-Fi was really poor! Charged £12 for 3 days but it was so patchy, I couldn't use it.
Wouldn't let me buy a gas bottle as it was swaps only and only for the same colour. There was also no water on the pitch for 48 hours!
Motorhome site Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2024 Excellent staff. Food on site is fantastic and can't wait to stay again. Lovely & quiet.
5 night stay Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2024 Nice site, pitches a good size and fully serviced with electric and water, some even had waste (grey) water disposal but ours didn't.
I'm not sure there would be enough toilet facilities during peak holiday times. Also I think charging campers extra to use the site Wi-Fi (£5 per day) in this day and age isn't acceptable.
I'm not sure I will be booking again.
Weekend away Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Mar 2024 We had a caravan service so stayed for weekend.
The only complaint that we could say was the pitch was no good for our caravan as it was difficult to hitch up. We could have done with a flat pitch.
Nice and peaceful Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Serviced Pitches Oct 2023 Good warm welcome and explanation of facilities. Choice of pitch and good toilets.
Short stay Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 We arrived at 5:15pm ish.
The lady in the shop was really helpful contacting the site supervisor to show us our pitch. The next day, they were short staffed, but still managed to provide really nice breakfast sandwiches and great coffee.
Peaceful, convenient location Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Great location. Very peaceful. Beautiful grounds. We were there for a week as we have family down there and it was a 70th Birthday
Great for access to the coast, Romsey, New Forest and Salisbury. Showers were spotless. Individual cubicles. Warm shower block, powerful showers with plenty of hot water.
Pleasant, well laid out site Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 A very well laid out and relaxing place to spend a few days with a useful on site shop and facilities. Noise curfew observed even over a busy weekend. Would happily return in future.
Perfect site for the New Forest and South Downs Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Hill Farm is probably the best site we have stayed at. It is very mature and flat, with lots of green space and large pitches. The showers are large and clean, with clean toilets and wash facilities. Everything is very well laid out and maintained.
The site has a quiet policy at night, which always helps, and is far enough away from main roads to be very peaceful.
The New Forest starts about 15 mins from the site to the west, and the South Downs a similar distance to the west. The beautiful cities of Salisbury and Winchester are also only about 20 minutes away. The location is pretty much perfect if you want to get out and explore a bit.
We will definitely come back to the site.
Good campsite Recommends site
Large Tent - Willows Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Booked the willows but we were given a different pitch in a different area, which was a bit disappointing. Pitches are fairly close together and we have a large 8-man tent so we chose to park our car in the car park to give us some space for outdoor chairs and a table.
Showers worked well and were spacious with hooks and chairs in each cubicle. Toilets were always well stocked with loo roll and soap etc. Good washing up block and laundry facilities available. There is a good little shop which stocks everything and a café that had a simple but tasty and reasonably priced menu. Lovely dog walk, which goes in a loop around edge of campsite, and an easy check-in process.
We visited Mottisfont, Romsey, the dahlia garden nursery and went to the Olive Tree pub, all of which were no more than 15 mins away.
