Lovely stopover

We arrived at the campsite we had been given clear instructions of directions and pitch number, we found the campsite lovely and clean , the facilities were also clean and fresh, the showers were worth every 20p , lovely hosts we would recommend this sight in a heartbeat.

Excellent site

Excellent site, not too far from home, meaning we can pop through after work on Friday and return home on Sunday. It is in an excellent location and the services were second to none. Staff are so friendly, I'm sure nothing would have been too much struggle. Very handy having the Crooklands Hotel nearby for a drink and meal, must book if you want a meal, it gets extremely busy. Garage down the road if you forget anything .

Fantastic friendly dite

Paul and Sarah made us feel welcome from the start to the end. They treated everyone as if they were family. Location was easy to get to, perfect as a walking base to soak up the gorgeous Lancaster Canal and sited next to the equally fantastic Crooklands Hotel. Our pitch was perfectly flat and well serviced. It is a very doggy friendly place too with numerous breeds to interact with and offer a pet. We would not hesitate to recommend it to any of our friends and will be back, hopefully with our own dog 🤞

Superb little site

Literally 5 star luxury facilities at this fab little site, ideal for our couple of nights stay and conveniently just off the M6. The whole site is so well kept. Will definitely return.

Amazing 5*

This site was spotless and in such a beautiful location. Paul who owned the site was so helpful and friendly and nothing was to much bother. Hotel 2 mins walk which does amazing food and cocktails. Highly recommend this site. Joan & Johnny N. Ireland

Short break.

First stay here for us but we will definitely be back.. Lovely site, spotlessly clean, well looked after grounds, good modern facilities and a bonus with complimentary items just incase you have forgotten anything. Ideal location for us. Beautiful walks along the canal.

Great location

Excellent two night stop on the way to Scotland. Friendly staff, plenty of space and great washing facilities. And handy for a base to tour the Lake District.

Immaculate

Good, spacious site. Grounds well tended. Facilities immaculate. 2 shower blocks, the one nearest us had 2 large disabled wet rooms. Plenty of hooks & a bench, so clothes were away from water. 20p for 3 minutes, which was more than adequate. Free shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. Our hosts, Paul & Sarah, were lovely, friendly & had good advice on where to visit.

Excellent as always

Lovely little gem of a site close to the Canal Walk, which is great for dog walking! Super facilities and friendly, informative staff. Definitely recommend once again.

Amazing place to stay!

Stayed at little acre a couple of times the last year and it’s always lovely! Once on their camping area and once on the hardstanding pitches. Both are excellent and the site is lovely overall, the staff are helpful and accommodating also. Location is 10/10, just off the M6 and across from a pub which does lovely food and drink.

Little Acre - A Little Gem

We’ve just stayed here for five days and wished we’d booked longer. It’s a beautifully kept site with fantastic facilities and very welcoming owners. The pitches are large with water close by so that you can plumb straight in to your caravan. Lots of space between pitches and everywhere was immaculate. The shower block is warm and spotlessly clean. Showers cost 20p for 3minutes which is fine as the water is nice and hot and the showers spacious and clean. They even provide toiletries FOC. There are beautiful walks along the canal which is literally across the road from the camp site and the Crooklands hotel is a 2 minute walk away. Our plans meant that we never went for a meal but I’ve only heard great things about it. We will definitely be back again as there is so much to do, it being situated on the edge of the South Lakes area. Overall it was a stay we really enjoyed and one that we couldn’t fault at all.

We will come back

We stayed at little acre for 2 nights in our Motorhome. The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The site is very well kept and the amenities blocks are immaculately clean . Our dog was made very welcome and we were pointed in the direction of quiet walks to suit his needs . The pub across the road served good food and is also dog friendly. The only down side is there is no Motorhome service point so you do need a waste water container but there is a fresh water tap on every hard standing pitch. We plan to stay longer next time.

Brilliant site

We Stayed 2 nights was lovely weekend, pub within 5 mins walk called crooksland hotel food was lovely, also town Within 3.5 miles. Nice canal walk. Site was very clean, everything you need for a nice weekend. Located Jst off the motorway, would definitely recommend and be back soon.
