About the site

This site aims to encourage families and friends to slow down, relax and reconnect with each other. The two large safari tents are situated in a six acre meadow, surrounded by woodland. There is plenty of space for adults, children and four-legged friends to wander and run or just sit and listen to the buzz of the nature. Each tent sleeps up to six people (plus infants), featuring a fully fitted bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet, and a kitchen that includes a hob, fridge, sink, cutlery, and crockery. You have the choice of dining inside, or at the table on your elevated deck looking out over the beautiful Devon countryside. There is also a lower patio area with a BBQ and pizza oven. Enjoy toasting marshmallows over the fire pit and sharing campfire stories. The site is located mid-way between the North Devon Coast and Dartmoor, offering you plenty of variety throughout your stay. Perfect for long walks with your dog or building sandcastles on the beach.

The site is open for bookings from Friday 4th April through until Tuesday 4th November.

There is a Co-op a ten minute drive away for picking up essentials during your stay. The Black River Inn is less than a five minute drive away, offering homemade tapas dishes and refreshing drinks.

Two large safari tents sleeping up to six people. Each with comfy beds, bathroom, kitchen and dining room. There is a large sofa where you can relax. Outside, there's a raised decking and patio area.

Site rules and policies

1. Please be aware that the ground is uneven and steep in places. Please bring sensible footwear.

2. Please stay out of fields with animals in them.

3. Please supervise your children and dogs at all times.

4. Please stay within the obvious boundaries of Beara Lodge Glamping.

5. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.30p.m.

6. Smoking is not permitted inside the tents or on the top veranda.

7. Please note there are no available 230v plug points in the tent but there is a 230v shaving socket in the bathroom and 4 USB charging points for your phone and tablets.

8. Please clean up after your dog and do not leave them alone in the tents.

There are plenty of activities near to the site including dog and family friendly beaches at Bude and 365 square miles to explore on foot, bike or horseback at Dartmoor National Park.
