Easter weekend

Good and clean facilities, big camping site with a lot of entertainment for young families with kids.

Lovely few days away

Stayed here in our campervan over the Easter break and couldn’t ask for a better campsite. Large pitches, lots to do on site and dogs walks from campsite. Facilities really clean and staff interaction was always positive. Only criticism would be that the showers only stay on for 5 secs (if that) at a time. Understand the reasoning behind having to time out the water but would be more acceptable if longer was given. Overall loved our stay and would definitely return

Excellent place to stay

This is the first time we have been away in our newly converted camper. We only stayed for 4 nights as we did not know what to expect. We wish we had stayed longer. We've been camping for over 30 years and this is by far the best site we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean. Most areas are dog friendly. The staff are great especially the maintenance team. We had a problem with our battery and 2 staff came to help and offered to change the battery for us. The pitch sizes are very generous and there are toilet blocks on all fields. There is plenty to keep the family entertained. We did the high ropes one day, the staff were absolutely fantastic with everyone, I would highly recommend this activity. The walk through the woodland to Dawlish Warren was an adventure we completed. Only took us 40 minutes. There's picnic areas most of the way through the woodland. The entertainment staff were great as well, keeping the children entertained with games and party dances. The only downsides are the steep banks and the Wi-Fi. We paid for Wi-Fi but most of the time did not have any signal. You need to be relatively fit if your in the top pitches as the bank up and down is quite a trek. We will be returning for another break sometime this year.

From start to finish, amazing customer service, welcome was fantastic and special mention to the maintenance man and security for helping us on our electric issue through our whole stay! We will most definitely be back. Great facilities for children and plenty of choice for food. Staff was 10/10. Site is very clean and well maintained.

Really nice stay

Had a really enjoyable 3 night stay on the 7m hardstanding pitch. A lovely site, it was clean and friendly. High ropes and fishing, excellent. The swimming pool was clean, with a family changing room. The walk to the beach through private woods with a really nice beach at Dawlish Warren. The only minor things to mention that I felt weren't so positive were the showers as they were push buttons. They only stayed on for about 2-3 seconds and when you pressed it again the temperature went really hot. The service in the main bar was slow with a 1 hour wait for food. The arcade only takes a pre - paid card that you buy from a machine, which was defective so had to wait at the bar for one to be told it's cash only. I felt the dog friendly statement needs to be a bit clearer, as the main downstairs club only allow them in before 17:00. All the above are easy fixes and would of enhanced our stay. Would definitely go back again, thanks very much.

Absolutely relaxing, lovely stay

Beautiful site. So relaxing, loads to go and do on, out and about. Will definitely return. Absolutely relaxing, lovely stay. Cannot fault the site. Brilliant for families and couples. Well worth booking. Will be back.

Cofton Holiday park

A lovely place to stay, with good facilities and very clean.

Amazing

We had an amazing stay in September. Staff were really helpful. Entertainment was good with something on every night. Perfect location to walk into Dawlish Warren or transport to Teignmouth. Bus service between these towns excellent. Would definitely recommend it and would go back there.

Our stay at Cofton holidays - excellent

Excellent place to come with young families, older children, couples. This place has something for everyone, if you didn't want to come offsite you didn't need to. Great location in between towns, just brilliant. Will be returning next year!

Nice campsite

Nice campsite with lots of facilities including indoor & outdoor swimming, skate park, basketball court, play parks, arcade, soft-play. Friendly staff who showed you to a pitch on arrival. A number of different options for food. Only downside for me was the 'standardness' of the pitches. As its a big resort, the pitches were quite structured and close together, I was hoping for that bit of space outside the tent for the kids to run around with a ball, as mine are too young to go off to the play areas alone. This isn't a criticism as such, just my preference being different to what was on offer. Also, the showers weren't always the cleanest but I think that's just down to sheer volume of traffic. The site offered a nice woodland to walk through and was within easy walking distance of Dawlish Warren. Also easy to go the same route for a run (big hill on the way back!) and not too far from a couple of parkruns if running is your thing! We enjoyed Haldon Forest parkrun - again, some cheeky hills. Site was also not too far from Teignmouth. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent family campsite

Couldn't fault our stay, the facilities are brilliant. Outdoor pool is perfect for a hot day but most kids where in it still when it was a cooler day. Indoor pool and scuba scooters where brilliant very clean and staff where helpful and friendly. Food was pricey but no more expensive than anywhere else these days. The whole park was immaculate and packed full of parks, bike track, football court. The shop was extremely well stocked, I thought, compared to other campsites we've been to. Would absolutely return.

Great holiday, shame about weather for August!

Fantastic site with plentiful amenities. Helpful staff and loads to do! Expensive site for camping only, as we did, but great holiday all the same.

Attention to cleanliness

Shower block wasn't clean. Toilets were disgusting! The three nights we stayed, we never saw a cleaner once and struggled to find a clean toilet in the block near us. Showers were hot and the site itself was clean. The entertainment areas were also unkempt.

Overall an enjoyable, nice site

Overall, the site was nice and clean and the team were pleasant, respectful and helpful. We were unfortunately next to some unpleasant guests who caused a number of issues on site and disrupted our stay. I felt that they should have been removed from site. We will go back to the site, it won't put us off.

So good we stayed longer

Staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and tidy. Only things I picked up on was that the shower heads are too high and they could do with a shelf in with the shower so shampoo and personal cleaning stuff can be placed. Also, a 2nd hook for clothes.

Absolutely Fantastic

I couldn’t recommend Cofton enough, I’ve been going since I was a child and now in my late twenties bringing my family, I wouldn’t go anywhere else, everyone is so lovely and welcoming.

Holiday review

Had a lovely week. Site was immaculate, staff very helpful and happy. Restaurant/bar was very good, would definitely return and recommend the site. A slight negative was that where were lots of dogs on site, most of which were well behaved but we did have dog mess at the rear of our motorhome and we do not have a dog. Overall, a great week - thank you Cofton Holidays.

Best campsite we've been to!

We had long weekend from a Thursday - Monday camping. The weather wasn't very kind to us for the first few days but from start to finish, all the staff we amazing, super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The facilities were super clean and modern. Overall, 10/10 for us and we will definitely be coming back this year.

Relaxing stay

A lovely relaxing stay on a great site. The facilities are excellent and recently updated. I enjoyed a swim and Sunday lunch afterwards. It is a lovely site and I intend to return.

Great campsite!

We recently got back from a 4 night stay here in a campervan. We are so glad that we booked this one as the facilities are great, the women's shower block even has a huge deep bath in it, which we didn't expect! Perfect for my fussy 5 year old who doesn't like showers. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant is also good, the food was very good. The swimming pool looked lovely, although we never had a chance to go. Staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful showing us to our pitch. The pitches are a great size, kept very clean and spacious between other vehicles. The grounds themselves were absolutely spotless too. The grass was well kept, you can tell that they take good care of everything. All in all, a great campsite! Couldn't fault it. Thank you, Cofton!

Great, until we were checked out a day early by mistake!

I'll start with the bad bits. Despite paying for a plot and having campsite-wide Wi-Fi, you have to pay a ridiculously extortionate amount for it! Five devices for 3 days is £25, and the signal is very poor if you're on Three. The barriers to access your plot, you have to buzz and ask to be let in, which is fine if the warden is in their kiosk or reception is open. But if not, you have to walk to the kiosk, get the number off the window, call them and ask them to let you in and then wait for them to get back to the kiosk! They should have an ANPR system in place. We were also checked out early and arrived back to our caravan to find no electrical supply and the warden couldn't get us on because they have no access to back office systems. This resulted in us having to leave that night, a day early, at 10pm at night after having to pack in the dark with a single 12v light and we arrived home at 3am. This isn't a typical guest experience, I'm sure. That being said, and yes it was an awful incident but the site is taking it very seriously, everything else about the stay was brilliant. The food was great (albeit a meal for two cost us more than £70 with two pints of diet coke), the staff are lovely and Greg, the warden, is especially so cheerful. A normal person would be furious to find their holiday cut short and having to pack in the dark before driving 210 miles with a caravan on their back but Greg's attitude is so cheerful, it was impossible to remain annoyed. Until we got home very tired and exhausted anyway! But if this incident didn't occur, my review would literally moan about the Wi-Fi cost (it would be great to make it free or include it in the booking fee!) and the barriers situation. Oh, and having to walk to the Warden's kiosk to get the mobile number because it isn't elsewhere. But otherwise, I genuinely had a wonderful time.

Almost got it right

Site is very clean, the shower blocks were exceptional and all grounds were kept in very good condition. Felt the clubhouse needs to be larger as by 4pm, it was almost impossible to get a seat for the evening show. This was very disappointing and leaves you with nothing to do except sit outdoors with a drink. Sunday roast was very disappointing as food was almost inedible. Undercooked roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese so hard we were unable to cut it. The meat was cut so thick, we were unable to chew it. The table of ten next to us all had refunds, as did we. Very disappointed to say the least.
