Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

This is a perfect site if you want a quiet getaway to the coast away from hustle and bustle. It's a site you can stay on with a relaxed feel, a superb host, very nice pitches and enjoy a relaxed trip. There are no supermarkets really close by so stocking up before you go for your stay is recommended. Lovely local pub 20 mins walk from site is well worth a visit (Church Bay Inn), no food served but you can enjoy a drink or two with a super view. We are returning campers and will be back again.

Great site and great host

Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

Our second trip to Ty Cochyn- for good reason! Gary runs the perfect site. His attention to detail is second to none. He can’t do enough for his campers- even saw him dropping off some pillows to a chap who had forgotten his! The facilities are amazing and the shower block immaculately clean. Having electric hook up on every pitch a real bonus. The location is beautiful and only a short walk to Church Bay. Would highly recommend this adult only site to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2026

We had a wonderful stay here. Such a peaceful site, but with convenient access to much of Angelsey. Toilets and showers immaculate throughout our stay and Gary was very welcoming, checking in to see how our stay was and giving us tips of places to visit. Our dog loved the freedom of the exercise field, which is completely enclosed. We will definitely return!

Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

From the beginning, Gary's communication was spot on (even though he was in hospital!) His wife, Christine, came round to check on us the first day and they both came back a few days later. Very genuinely lovely and welcoming people! They want people to genuinely enjoy being here and make the effort to speak to you. I found that the unreserved pitches were great as there are many areas you can pitch up. all are ready for tents, caravans, motorhomes as if you're in a group you can all stay in the same area! We went for a relax and reset and it was the perfect place to do it, there is a barn that has a pool table, darts and facilities you can use, like the fridge/freezer and kettle. The showers and toilets are the best I've seen/used. They are done to a high standard and cleaned daily! The campsite is a bit remote, but if you don't mind a 10/20 minute drive there is a sandy beach and a nice restaurant that is well worth it! Will definitely be back, would highly recommend.

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

The views from the site were stunning. The owner of the campsite, Gary, was really friendly, lovely and knowledgeable. There were plenty of toilets and showers, all were really clean and the showers were lovely and hot. The other facilities were great, such as a kettle we could use, free tea and coffee, a pool table and darts. There is a lovely pub about a 25 minute walk away called the Church Bay Inn that is definitely worth a visit. Would we return? 1000% yes! We loved every minute and it was such a lovely campsite, a real hidden gem and we were made to feel really welcome.

Quiet and peaceful site

Motorhome - Grass and Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

Gary, the owner, was very attentive and obliging and couldn't have done any more for us during our stay. The facilities were of the best part complete but is a working progress site. The new shower block is spotless and has everything and more. The shed has welcoming free tea, coffee and chilled water, along with a dart board and a pool table. Church Bay has a lovely beach and licenced café within a half hour walk, a pub with exceptional views over The Irish Sea and Holyhead Port is located along the way which opens from 17.00, which is very convenient on the walk back.

Promising but not there yet

Motorhome - Grass and Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

An ongoing project with great potential and very clean new facilities and a games room, which was well equipped. There is both hard standing and nice grassy areas with water, external lighting, electric hook up and on most plots. Clearly this has been designed with care. There is also nice planting with mown and wild grass areas and young trees and shrubs which will be nice when grown. Gary is also a lovely and responsive host. However - not much within easy walking distance, there are signs of ongoing construction (not actual work) and some building debris are visible around the site which detracts somewhat. There is a little view in the far distance of the sea but the site is exposed, so a bit forlorn and windy on bad weather days. With a car - attractions are within 15-30 mins.

An absolute gem. Quiet, clean, smashing views. Hot showers, all pitches as far as we could see have electricity and a fresh water tap. Pool room with refrigerator, freezer and tea coffee etc. Gary is probably one of the best hosts I've ever come across. Absolutely charming. Oh and it's child free. Well done Gary, we'll be back. Kindest, Jason and Joanna from Criccieth.

If you are looking for a lay-backed site peaceful site this the one for you. Gary, the owner, can't do enough to make sure your stay is perfect. The facilities are clean, it's great to have the barn as a communal area with fridge, freezer, kettle, pool table and dart board. The complimentary tea and coffee was a really nice touch.

Overall it was a lovely quiet site and the facilities for very good. The owner Gary was very helpful and welcoming. My only very slight criticism was the WiFi. Reception wasn't brilliant and kept dropping in and out.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass and Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

Lovely, peaceful campsite with everything we need to be comfortable! A good choice of flat pitches with electric hook up and water, main shower block with toilets was spotless and modern, even had a hairdryer! There's even a smaller toilet unit so the lower levels of the site don't have to trek up to the main block, they're spotless as well. We loved the big shed! A great place to chill out and have a game of pool. The fridge and freezers are a lovely touch for people so store cold items if they don't have their own fridge. Free tea and coffee too! The icing on the cake was the warm welcome from Gary. Such a lovely chap! my partner enjoyed a few games of pool with Gary and we had some good chats. The general area is beautiful, lovely views from the site and we had a lovely walk down to Church Bay where we jumped on the coastal path and dropped down into a few of the coves and then visited the pub on the way back to the site. We will definitely be returning!

Great site

Motorhome - Grass and Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

Campsite easy to find, we have large motorhome, no issues with access etc. Love how you can choose your own pitch. Gary got us to follow him in his van as we chose where to park up. All have fabulous views. Showers new and immaculate. Well organised. There's a barn with pool table, darts, complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Such a nice touch. Just over a mile walk into the local village where there's restaurant, cafe, beach, ice creams. We did the coastal walk and then stopped for a drink afterwards. Was lovely. Perfect stay. Great host. Highly recommend.

Campsite was well laid out with spacious pitches with water and EH. Nice toilet block with extra toilets near the clubhouse which had fridges, games, teas and coffees.. the view was great towards the sea and nearby hill. About 20 minutes walk to pub and more to lovely Church bay. Shout out to Gary who so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Plenty of cycling and walking routes nearby.

Really nice site, level pitches with electric and water to each. The higher pitches have a great view out to Church bay, which you also walk too. Clean facilities and a games room if the weather turns nasty.
