A gem of a discovery
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 I can't recommend this site highly enough. Excellent and clean facilities, staff who clearly enjoy their jobs and an on-site restaurant and shop. I'm already organising my next visit!
Great Site

Onsite cafe is great for breakfast.
We went to this site as we were attending the Wales Air Show in Swansea, by the time we got back to site it was all locked up. There was a car before us also waiting, we got told that the site is locked at 11pm., maybe let people know or give them some access if attending events. But would still use this site again.
Lovely campsite in a great location

Not so quiet!
VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We read many reviews on Kennexstone before booking which stated how peaceful and quiet the site is, which was exactly what we were looking for.
Unfortunately for us, and maybe just bad timing, there was two very large groups staying at the same time as us. Now, I'm not against people having fun and in many ways, it was heart warming to see friends and family all sharing a passion for camping and all getting along and having fun. The downside to this is many of the games took a lot of space and on numerous occasions, our tent was struck by footballs. The groups also liked to sit out and talk late into the evening even though there is a quiet policy after 10pm. Like I said, I'm not against people having fun but the expectation was for a quiet campsite which on this occasion it certainly wasn't.
In regards to the campsite itself, everything else was as advertised, facilities were basic but clean and well maintained, staff were super friendly and helpful. The café on site was a nice bonus and the food was very good. Location wise you are only a short drive to all the Gowers' famous beaches.
Would I recommend Kennexstone? Yes I would. It's a lovely campsite but please be aware, it may not be as peaceful as some reviews have stated.
Nice campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Beautiful campsite. Would've been nice to have had more to do. This was picked as it states close to beach.
In fact it isn't close to beach, so wasn't happy about that. Food at restaurant was a bit boring. The jacket potato was dry and the the kids fish had more batter than fish. Hubby said pizza was lovely. Being a vegetarian myself, I would loved more of a choice and served soy milk as well as oat.
Showers were odd. I had to keep pushing the button to keep washing. Kids playing football and riding bikes very close to where we were camping which set my dogs off. Almost hit my car with baseball and football. Love the spooky tree in the camping field.
Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - XL Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 Great campsite with good facilities. Shop is well stocked and the cafe does great breakfast baps. We didn’t try the pizza in the evening but if breakfast was anything to go by it would have been great. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Motorhome - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Well arrived and Kennexstone campsite. First impression, very helpful in reception and made us welcome. Very clean site, our pitch was of a good standard, no problem with electrics and fresh water.
Cafe and shop had more than we wanted and were very welcoming when we used them. I will defiantly recommend this campsite to family and friends.
Our stay
Motorhome - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We stayed at Kennexstone for 2'nights on pitch 96 which was a large grass with electric.
On arrival, I reported to reception and found the service extremely helpful and friendly as it was throughout our stay. The pitch was large on flat ground and we had no problems with the electric.
We also found our position in the field to be very relaxing.
We would definitely recommend and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great Friendly Campsite Team
Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A great campsite with a fantastic friendly team who were not only very welcoming but efficient at what they do. Everyone of them enthusiastically made us feel special and catered for our needs. The onsite cafe is a gem and just like having a restaurant/pub within walking distance saving any car journeys. The food is of a great standard too. A good selection of pub grub . The washing and toilet facilities were clean and tidy and perfectly adequate.I would definitely recommend this little gem of a campsite and will visit again.

Exactly what we needed
Medium Tent - Standard Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A perfect long weekend!
We booked last minute, so didn't know what the expect but we were given a shady pitch as requested, which was perfect in the heatwave! Close to pubs and beaches. Recommend Broughton Bay for clear waters and the natural rock pool at low tide. Campsite was clean and staff super friendly.
All other campers were lovely and respectful of quiet hours.
Superb site
Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This is a lovely, well maintained site. The pitches are well marked, generous in size and well laid out.
The toilets and showers were kept clean and the shower temp. Was spot on despite there not being a control. There was a squeegee in the showers to clean up any grass etc. From a previous user, very thoughtful.
The site is flat and the grass mowed short.
I have no complaints from a great weekend at Kennexstone, it is very handy for North Gower.
If you have dogs, this place is perfect, there are walks and facilities for dog lovers, even a field where the dog can be let loose to run about.
The café looked great, we only used it for coffee which was really good too.
Absolutely Perfect
Large Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 What a great park. We camped for two nights June 2026. Plenty of space, quiet after 10. A lovely little shop which is excellent value for money. Great restaurant/ pub. We had pizza, cheeseburger and chicken strips - was lovely! Loads of toilets and showers which are clean and well stocked. We went to local beach which was 10 min drive - absolutely beautiful beach with cafe, surfing lessons etc. We will definitely be returning to this Park!

Large Tent - XL Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Our stay was amazing staff were really friendly and helpful. Food in the cafe was absolutely delicious highly recommended. The facilities were extremely clean and of a high standard plenty of toilets and showers. Our pitch was perfect. Would definitely stay again thank you

Medium Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 This was my first experience with camping and I'm very happy. This place is good location close to 2 beautiful beach. Clean toilets and showers with warm water. Only minus restaurant was no open this time.
Fabulous week
Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 We stayed for a week and found the staff welcoming and helpful.
The pitches are spacious but the grass needed cutting throughout the site.
Showers and toilet facilities were adequate and cleaned. We think that these facilities needed regular monitoring as some guests were not aware that they needed to leave the facilities as they would wish to find them.
The food and service at the on site cafe was very good but was only open at the weekend.
Brilliant facilities, staff were amazing, food was excellent, lovely quiet site, will definitely be back

Enjoyment at the site
Motorhome - XL Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026 Had an absolute wonderful day the staff couldn't do any more to help. The food in the restaurant was wonderful again they were more than helpful.
The only suggestion I would make would be that the chemical toilet block unit could do with being raised for people that have problems with disability, other than that, fantastic time.

Excellent site
VW-Type Campervan - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 We enjoyed a fabulous stay here recently.
The site was very well maintained, lovely level pitches and the doggy exercise area was a nice touch. The staff we encountered were all friendly, informed and welcoming and the facilities, such as toilets, showers and washing up area were clean and tidy.
The one small thing I would offer up for improvement was a small area of cement outside the men's shower block, which was really slippery when wet and could probably do with texturizing a bit to prevent slips.
Other than that, it was a bloody brilliant stay, thank you!

Restaurant and the food we had was lovely and the whole campsite was clean and well organised. Good to fair value for money.
Lovely camp site
Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 We had issues with our tent, didn't stay the night. When we returned second night, campsite staff/owner was very kind and allowed to stay extra night without charge.
Very calm and peaceful camp site with excellent, clean facilities. Close to beaches. Only suggestion for the campsite owner is if they can develop kids play area, this will keep the kids engaged.
