A very relaxing site

A great little site. Would highly recommend for a short stay. Improvement in the toilet/shower block would make this site a 5 star. I would rather pay a little extra on the site price and have the showers as part of the camp facilities.

Little gem

This site was a great find. We were able to book an extra night with ease. Very friendly owners who care about the site and especially it's customers. Always had time for questions and know the area well. Canal walks . Dog friendly. Site itself very tidy . Facilities spotless each time I used them . Will book again .

Very nice site

Lovely site with clean washing facilities. Very clean and well maintained. Paul the owner was very helpful.

Weekend stay

Absolutely lovely site, showers and toilets sparkling clean the site itself is spanking. They couldn't do enough to help we will definitely be returning.

Fabulous site

Perfect little site, good sized pitches that were spaced out nicely. The new shower block is amazing, all brand new and even has shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Very friendly and helpful owners. The area is quiet with a nice walk along the canal and not so far from Morecombe Bay which is always worth a visit. Down the road is Kirby Lonsdale and the gateway to the Lakes in the other direction. Oh, and across the little bridge is a lovely hotel with a nice bar and restaurant that serves excellent food. We will be back without a doubt.

Lovely site

What a fantastic site. Very quiet site and the pitch we were on had great views. Lovely walk along the canal and Crooklands a pub opposite does great food. Lovely four days away. Will recommend this site and will come back.

Well maintained, convinient site

The is a nice site close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and the Pennines. The toilet block is immaculate and very smart, modern and well presented with nice little touches - hair dryer, soaps and hand body lotion provided. Large wet room shower facilities. We had the pitch next to the block but it was quiet as not too busy, but might not be so during very busy times. The site is well presented and easy access to the main road, which unfortunately is busy and hence noisy. A lovely walk along the canal tow path and a pub very close by. We prefer quieter more rural sites but this site is very convenient for crossing the country.

Great site

Lovely campsite, friendly owners. The facilities were spotlessy clean. Very relaxing stay, had a walk down the canal towpath and a fabulous meal at the local pub which is literally across the road. Would def stay again.

Immaculately kept

Immaculate campsite. Best toilet block and showers ever. The pub nearby was an added bonus as it was beautiful and we had lovely food.

Great site

What a great find, just off the M6 on the way to Scotland. It would be easy to stay here for a couple of days. The park is very well maintained, and the pitch was level, no need to mess about with blocks. That is always a plus in my books. The facilities block is, well, beautiful! 20p for a shower with instant hot water, I don't mind paying for that. And then there is the canal towpath right next door, perfect for an evening amble and then to the Crooklands for a meal and drink. Highly recommended. Well done Paul and Sarah.

A great site but unfortunately disturbed by road noise.

A lovely site, very easily accessible. Paul, the owner, was so friendly and accommodating. The site itself, we couldn't fault but unfortunately, there was quite a lot of road noise.

Little gem

Excellent little site, perfect for a night stop over, nice walk along the canal pub nearby. Toilet block spot on, no complaints.

Great site

Stayed here 3 years ago for a couple of nights and was great then, but there has been an obvious update of the facilities which is great to see. Spotless modern facilities, great hosts, lovely for canal walks. Local pub/restaurant, The Crooklands, which is definitely worth a visit. Would recommend booking site in advance, as it was busy this weekend - but that's not surprising, and the cleanliness wasn't impacted by this.

Brilliant little site

This is a lovely campsite in a great location, perfect for exploring or a stop on a longer journey as easy from the M6. Nice facilities, with good attention to detail and friendly owners. By a canal walk and a few minutes from a good pub.

Easter weekend

We stayed at Little Acre for 2 nights, I don't think I've stayed at such a tidy and well organised site ever. Communication from Paul was spot on, he texted a message to me on the day of arrival to let me know he wouldn't be there to greet us as he was away with his son for the day, but told me which pitch we were on. Arrived, pitched up and grabbed the last rays of a beautiful day. Two toilet/shower/wash facility blocks one having just been upgraded, wow, quality throughout. Wet room showers with proper showers! Just like you'd have at home. Can't recommend this site enough, will definitely be back.

Great stay

Stopped here on route to Scotland to break up the journey . Very pleasant surprise, site was very small and well kept , great facilities everything was spot on with showers and toilets 👍

Lovely little site

Lovely little site, toilets and showers immaculate, gorgeous showers. 20p for 3 minutes which is plenty of time and totally worth 20p! Owner very friendly, great pub 2 minutes walk away, The Crooklands. Good base to explore, bus stops near the pub to Kendal etc.

Fab Easter weekend
