Quiet, peaceful stay

Enjoyable quiet, peaceful stay. Clean toilet block. Site well located to the main road for bus links to Scarborough, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby, so you can leave your car or van. Short walk to Robin Hood's Bay down a lane and across fields. Only negative was that the site was advertised as having WiFi, but it was not made clear on the booking form that this was chargeable. For the price of the stay and in the current day and age of connectivity, personally I was disappointed that this was not made clear and wasn't factored into the daily chargeable rate.

Hiddleston family getaway

Took Campervan and Driveaway Awing with bedroom. Pitch was a hard standing which consisted of large stones (not pea gravel) that could not be leveled off. In our opinion you could twist your ankle while walking on the hard standing. The hard standing was not suitable for pitching an Awning for sleeping in and it was hard to get pegs in without hitting large stones beneath the surface. We booked this site with the intention of using the local pub, for at least one night out and meal, but when we arrived we where told the pub was closed for renovation. We know this was out of control of the site but we could have been told before we arrived so we could make other arrangements. The site is in a good location for Robin Hood's Bay. It is approximately 20-25 minute walk to the top of the bay. There is also a bus stop 5minutes from the site with buses every hour to Whitby or Scarborough. There are small local shops in the village that stock all necessities and where you can order home made pizza.

Quiet site, attached to a working farm

Peaceful site even if attached to a farm, the odd tractor and mooing cattle, definitely beats being by a main road site. Convenient walk direct from site on footpath through their fields direct into Robin Hoods Bay. What a gem of a place. Pubs, food, ice-cream, coffee and cakes. History all around. Walks on certain dates to get more out of it. Nice beach walk, try and find some fossils. There's plenty of walking to do, a nice round trip along beach to Boggle Hole and back along the cliff path. Just take note of tide conditions. Drivable to both Scarborough and Whitby, you can also walk or cycle using the cinder track. Will definitely return again.

Great venue

We were only there for one night, but couldn't fault it. Facilities were great and security was spot on. 5 stars 👍👍😁😁

Great spot

Great location for accessing the coastal path walk, easy distance (10-15 mins walk) to Robin Hoods Bay and easy bus links to Whitby. Facilities were spot on and reception staff were happy to offer advice. Would return for sure.

Brilliant site would recommend, will definitely stay again

Beautiful site lovely and clean facilities. Showers nice and hot. Lovely lady in reception. Great access to cinder track and footpath to Robin Hoods Bay.

Great site in a great location with good facilities

We really enjoyed our stay at Middlewood Farm. It is in a perfect location for Robin Hood's Bay and coastal walks, and has good facilities for motorhomes. The owner is very friendly and informative about the local area. Just one minor observation; the shower block was a bit chilly, however I would highly recommend the site.

Weekend for Whitby

Good site, a little put off by being locked in over night.

Thank you for your review. Most parks lock down at night for your security and most guests prefer this. Emergency Services are still able to enter the Park. This aside, I am pleased that you liked our park.

Lovely clean site

We've just returned from a 7 night stay and wish we had booked for longer. Location is excellent, lovely walk into robin hoods bay that took us about 10 minutes. The facilities were clean on every visit and the site was clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and very helpful, going above and beyond. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Ok

It was ok. The facilities could do with updating, but the location was great for us. Lots of emphasis on rules in the info booklet and signs, which felt a little unnecessary.

The rules are only a problem to those that wish to disobey them. They are mostly for your information to be able to get the most out of your stay with us. There is nothing that is too onerous.

Excellent

Just a great place, 15 minutes drive to Whitby (half an hour on the bus). An easy 10 min walk down to Robin Hood's Bay on a footpath from the campsite (avoiding the big steep hill). We all loved our stay, struggled to get the dog back in the car to go home, she really wanted to stay.

Perfect location for Robin Hood's Bay!

Loved the site. Amazing location and very well looked after. We will be back. 1 star off the facilities, only as they look a little dated, however all functions well!

Lovely location with easy access to range of activities

Great location - easy access to village, walks and buses (to take to Whitby). Parked up the Motorhome and was able to leave it. Access to Cleveland Way and Cinder Path (old railway track) are literally at your door. 10 mins walk to Robin Hood's Bay with a good range of eateries and browsing shops. Campsite clean and tidy. Facilities good - incl clothes washing & drying. Would very happily return.

Should have stayed longer!

Really liked it here. Me, hubby and boo the dog. Facilities good, fabulous walks to the beach, although more signposts appreciated regarding where pods are and beach is, but really enjoyed our stay.

Nice site

Nice site, wouldn't say it was 5* though. Nice location, 10 minute walk to the beach but an uphill walk back. Showers nice and hot and stay on long enough without having to press button. At £38 per night to park motorhome, it's a bit more expensive than other sites I've stayed at.

Camping

Site is well signposted off the main road so easy to find. Staff very friendly and welcoming, tent pitching instructions very clear and the site itself is well maintained. The walk along the cinder track to Rydale is easy, with the best ice cream at the end. The Cleveland way back does combine lovely views and some steep climbs and descends. There are also some great walks in The Moors just a short drive away.

Lovely campsite, great location, friendly owners. However, book early if you don't want to be put in the family area, right next to the playground if you don't have children 😖

Great site in a picturesque location close to Whitby. Good facilities, just lacks a food van/café.
