Set at the edge of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, is the peaceful, family friendly Trossachs Holiday Park. Spanning 40 acres, it offers spacious, fully serviced pitches for tourers, along with part-furnished camping pods, some dog friendly. Onsite, there's a handy, well-stocked shop plus a small play area for kids. Off the A81, it's ideal for outdoor lovers, surrounded by lochs, Bens, and close to the National Cycle Route 7.

About the site


Set among 40 acres and surrounded by oak and bluebell woodlands, mountains and glens, this friendly site sits at the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, just off the A81. It's perfect for nature and outdoor lovers, with easy access to National Cycle Route 7, scenic hiking routes at Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, and Loch Lomond for watersports. For tourers, there are 41 fully serviced 7m x 7m gravel and hardstanding pitches with a water and 16 amp electric hook up, as well as waste drainage for roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes up to 6m. You can also opt for one of the six cosy camping pods, three of which are dog friendly. Each includes a double bed, single bed, fridge, kettle, electric heating, gas and electricity, along with an outdoor picnic bench. Please be sure to bring everything you would normally bring camping, minus the tent! A selection of luxury lodges and static caravans are available onsite too. Onsite, there's a handy, well-stocked shop for everyday essentials, as well as an outdoor playground for kids to enjoy. Beyond the site, you are well placed for trips to Glasgow and Stirling, both around a 30 minute drive, along with local distilleries such as Glengoyne Distillery within 15 minutes. Up to two pups are welcome onsite, so your furry friend can join the adventure. There are also several dog-friendly walking routes accessed directly from the site. Raised BBQs are permitted onsite, sorry, campfires are not allowed here.

Onsite there is a heated facility block with toilets, showers, an accessible bathroom, and two family washrooms. You will have access to washing up areas, a coin-operated launderette, a freezer for ice packs, and WiFi. Kids will enjoy the outdoor play park with a swing and slide.

For everyday camping essentials, there's a well-stocked shop onsite too with drinks, snacks, toys and more. For larger shops, there's a Co-op in Aberfoyle, five minutes away. The Black Bull Gartmore is a 30 minute walk or five minute drive for tasty meals out.

Things to do on site and in the Stirling area

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is a stunning area to explore just outside the site, offering a range of activities for all ages.

Explore one of the many lochs, including Loch Ard (20 minutes), Loch Drunkie (25 minutes), and the largest, Loch Lomond, within a 20-25 minute drive, ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and other watersports. The Three Lochs Forest Drive is 15 minutes away and offers an incredible circular drive or two-way route for walkers and cyclists through three lochs.

Keen walkers can tackle hikes around Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, less than a five minute drive away and home to an abundance of walks, waterfalls and wildlife, along with dramatic mountain views. From Loch Lomond, you can also access the popular Loch Lomond Faerie Trail (40 minutes). There are also plenty of nearby Bens, as well as National Cycle Route 7, five minutes away.

Glengoyne Distillery is 15 minutes away with guided tours and tastings, as well as Deanston Distillery, a 25 minute drive away.

Days out can be spent discovering the many castles in the area, filled with medieval history, including Balloch Castle (25 minutes), Doune Castle (30 minutes), Stirling Castle (30 minutes), and Dumbarton Castle (40 minutes), which once sheltered Mary, Queen of Scots.
