Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Aug 2025

Stayed in the Pods at Sand le Mere. Site offers the normal facilities you would expect at a Holiday Park. Our young child loved it, bit of a change living in a pod and sleeping in the top bunk. Would recommend for a short stay. Within easy reach of Withernsea and Hornsea. Pods would benefit from a small fridge and kettle.

What a fantastic place

VW-Type Campervan - Ensuite Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Clean, tidy and a great welcome. Fantastic stay over, shame about the power cut as we wanted breakfast before we set off.

Eventful stay

Motorhome - Premium Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Me and my family enjoyed our stay. We did have a few downfalls on our stay with neighbours. First night, brilliant. Second, the next pitch to us, they arrived, dogs was with them, constantly barking. Big German shepherd dog was off the lead running around. Owner stated it kept snapping the collar. This isn't acceptable, I have children and a lot of other tourers had children playing out & big dogs like that was running up to them. My son was petrified. Our last night, the pitch on the other site was taken by a caravan. The owner of this was so arrogant and rude also using threatening behaviour. All because we was trying to reverse our car into our pitch and he had a caravan he wanted to move. So inpatient and damn rude. Cleanliness wasn't too bad on the touring site, there was some dirty sites of used nappies placed on top of the bins instead of inside it & also, the toilet and shower blocks in the women's, there was a big lump of 'brown' gunge right near the sinks that was there throughout the whole duration. Which is to show the toilets and showers wasn't cleaned at all whilst I was there. You had to take your own toilet roll to the loo as this wasn't checked or even topped up. Whilst on the toilet, people were asking to use the toilet roll I'd took as they've not gotten any. Never once seen staff in them blocks cleaning them. The park near the beach, its all broke and snapped off but the park near the reception is ok for kids. The burger hotdog van we tried one night. Didn't have a lot of stock, everything we asked for they didn't have so was very minimised. The burgers was tiny on a big bread cake, restaurant was nice, enjoyed the food and staff was lovely.

Good in so many ways but.....

Motorhome - Premium Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2025

The touring pitch itself is very nice. We had a premium pitch with EHU and water on the pitch which was great. The swimming pool was excellent and the food in the restaurant was very good but, like many other sites, they would not allow even a well behaved dog into the restaurant or the show bar which meant we had to eat outside and lose out on the evening entertainment programme. Nice walk to the beach and the fishing lake looks great too! Unfortunately, the facilities for tourers really lets the place down. The nearest toilet/shower block had 3 w/c's and 3 shower cubicles - one of which was out of action. On the second day of our stay, one of the w/c's had no loo roll, the second had a whole loo roll dropped down it and the third was, shall we say, "dirty"! This is not only a reflection on the campsite but on the mindset of some of those who leave the facilities in such a mess. Another issue was that on our pitch, (number 5) there was on a few occasions quite a strong smell of sewage which made sitting outside quite unpleasant. This was reported to reception but this made no difference during the time of our stay. Finally, we were disappointed to find that there was no facility to discharge grey waste from our motorhome prior to leaving the site. Given that we had paid £111 for 2 nights stay we expected the facilities for motorhomes and tourers to be much better.

Decent local and never disappointed

Single Axle Caravan - Premium Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2025

Caravan pitch was tidy and well kept, facilities at clubhouse great for the kids, food was much better than previous. Toilet block - only used once but could be cleaner. Overall, decent stay and quiet touring area, all neighbours were friendly and welcoming.
