Beautiful tranquil site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Great place to stay to chill in nature with lots of birds, ponies and deer etc. very quiet and peaceful. Everything works - be aware no electric hook ups.
The Huntsman us 10-15 minutes walk away for good food and beer.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely spot to relax and enjoy the new forest with shaded pitches and excellent facilities. Quite close to a main road in places so pick pitch carefully if you want a quieter night. First visit, definitely returning

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Location was nice and staff reasonably pleasant, but even though we followed every rule, we felt overly observed the whole time, with staff coming up to tents and constantly asking questions to check every rule was being followed - it made it hard to relax. Maybe charge by people, not tents, to save on constant pestering.
Showers should run for longer than 5 seconds. It's incredibly annoying that it stops every time you turn around.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 Really lovely staff, just lovely in every way. Facilities really clean, site tidy with no litter, and wonderful staff. We walked to Lyndhurst and got the bus back, a lovely day out.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 A large, clean and spacious campsite on the edge of moorland with horses walking nearby and friendly and helpful staff.
The road is a bit noisy but not bad and the early morning birdsong in the surrounding trees made up for it. There are walks nearby and the site is ca 20 minute walking distance of Brockenhurst with some good pubs and restaurants.
We ate somewhere different every night and on the way back we popped into the Balmer Lawn Hotel which is almost next door to the campsite for a drink at the bar.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 The facilities are well taken care of and the staff are really, really, really friendly. Alfie helped us to jump start the battery after leaving the doors open for too long. He was extremely helpful. Amazing service for real!
The location is beautiful but we made the mistake of camping too close to the main road, which is quite busy.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Having set up on Friday morning and then going out, I left a cone on my pitch which I checked with the wardens, as I was next to my son/daughter in law and grandchildren. I came back and someone had driven around my cone and set up their van. When I approached her all she said was oh sorry did not see it. How inconsiderate some people are.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Really lovely location and great facilities and for such a good value for money.
We were 5 adults in a big tepee tent and we had such a great time - especially with such an easy walk to Brockenhurst for any extra snacks that we might desire!
Everyone on the campsite was polite and it was amazing seeing all the horses walking by in the morning.

Was a busy weekend on site and not many people took notice of the quiet after 10pm rule and cars were driving around site quite late at night, otherwise was lovely.

Have all said we would go back again (hopefully when weather is better) and do a longer stay.

Staff were friendly and the views and experience, including ponies roaming around us, made it a brilliant few days. We are definitely coming back and for a longer stay too.

Very reasonably priced - being woken up to the sound of new forest ponies trotting past our tent is a memory I will fondly remember forever! Beautiful.
New Forest camping at its best
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 A brilliant campsite. Choose your spot amongst the trees to set up camp - ours came with beautiful views of the forest and ponies joining us for breakfast. Staff were brilliant - so helpful and friendly.
Facilities were everything you need. Location was super - a short stroll into Brockenhurst. We're looking forward to returning.

All round lovely campsite. The location is super convenient, you could walk right into Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst is only 2 minutes up the road.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were great, no complaints! Great site for people who enjoy their walking, but also well situated for driving to things a little further afield.

It would be good if a baby change area can be added to washrooms.
Campsite is bit too crowded. It would be good if pitches can be spaced out a bit so that you can enjoy a quiet evening.

Amazing campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Lovely site in the heart of the new forest. Loved the fact that it was in the woods rather than in a big field, much more picturesque and gave much needed shade for the dogs.
So lovely to see the wild ponies wandering around as well.
