Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent and Campervan Pitches (XL)Aug 2025

This site is incredibly well maintained and Victoria is simply lovely. The location is great, near Bude and in easy reach of Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven etc. The views are stunning and we loved that it is a small site with large pitches so you're not on top of one another. Each pitch has a picnic table and access to a free firepit, with logs, kindling, marshmallows available to buy. The site as a whole is very family friendly and there are so many thoughtful touches for children in the barn, which was lovely to see, even though we were just there as a couple and there were single travellers there too. The washing up and barn facilities are good and we loved that you can order fresh pizzas from Victoria. I didn't personally like that the washing up area is directly behind the toilets and they are very much not soundproof, so there is very little privacy. I also struggled with the locks on the toilet/shower facilities, they're all up high and if you have stiff fingers, arthritis or any loss of mobility in your hands and fingers they are very hard to utilise. Having said that, that is the only downside and the site is beautiful, we loved the sunrises and the cloud inversions across the valley.

Beautiful views!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitch (Large)Aug 2025

This is an amazing site for people who love camping without the mod cons. Great views, nice bathroom block and a covered barn to shelter if it’s rainy, a fridge to pop things in and a host who will go above and beyond to help you out in any way you need!

Beautiful campsite and friendly people

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Medium)Jun 2025

We stayed for one night and already looking forward to going back. Plot sizes are large with tables, toilets/bathroom block were clean and pleasant. Games/common area in barn was a really nice addition and kept kids entertained. Warbstow Bury Hillfort is a short walk across the adjacent field and well worth checking out, especially on a clear day for the stunning views

Great place!

A very nice place to stay. Spacious places and good service (fresh pizza, firewood etc.). There were many nice places to visit nearby.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitch (Large)Jul 2024

A lovely campsite with a very friendly reception. The site had quiet surroundings and on rainy days, it was handy that there was a spacious barn with tables and games. The pitches slope slightly, but we still slept comfortably. There were lots of lovely walks in the area, and Tintagel is also nearby. The pizzas that Victoria makes herself are highly recommended! The sanitary facilities are basic, but tidy.

What a view!

What a magical location, what a view to the horizon! Comforted us over the cold handwashing water.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Medium)May 2024

We loved our stay at Fox Camping. It was everything we were looking for. It felt like such a family friendly place. The children soon felt relaxed and confident enough to take advantage of the games and colouring in the barn and we loved tearing around the nearby iron age fort and pretending to be invaders. The pizza's were delicious and an unexpected bonus. It was clean and not too big. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a holistic family camping experience.
