Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

A great camp site for us both and our dog. The facilities are toilets ( excellent and clean) there is a sink unit to wash your items if needed and a separate drinking water tap outside of the unit. The surrounding area and the views are exceptional. We have already posted pictures on the Tentbox community site and already been asked where it is. We really did have a great night And definitely will be booking again. BBQ , Fire pit great surroundings and totally relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality We will be back .

We will be back

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

First time visiting but would definitely come back. Pitch was great and facilities always clean. Being able to stay till 2pm was a massive plus for us especially with the beautiful weather we’ve had this weekend, we weren’t in a hurry to leave

Not family friendly

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Beautiful campsite, lovely views, close to lots of lovely walks and Buxton and clean toilets upon arrival. Wouldn't visit again though due to awful group we were next to. They had an issue with us pitching next to them, where they wanted to park their second car, even though there was the same amount of space than other pitches. Site described as family friendly and quiet after 10pm, but no one around to enforce this. Leads to the said group being incredibly loud, swearing, shouting about drink and driving. Went out at 11:30pm just to ask them to keep it down and their response was 'shouldn't have pitched so close to us' horrible people who let their kids run round whilst they had no idea where they were - they even thought they'd lost a kid at this point. As campers, we don't mind hearing music and people chatting, but this was not ideal when you have an 8 year old and a 10 year old just listening to people swearing loudly and really just not giving a care about anyone around them. As for pitching close, we were told to pitch anywhere, there was adequate space. It's a shame as a lovely site, but I'd never return after this

Lovely campsite!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

The campsite is small but well organised, with plenty of room given to each pitch. I was a single camper and felt really safe and welcome. Toilet facilities looked brand new and were really clean. The little kitchen area was helpful too. Located just a couple of miles from Castleton and with easy hiking access onto the limestone way. I would happily stay here again.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

What a lovely out of the rush place . Gorgeous scenery, toilets and wash area for pots, clean. Fire pits offered , but we didn't need one, but a lovely touch for the evening..really peaceful apart from people enjoying themselves, which for me ,adds to the beauty of camping . An ideal escape .

Lovely little campsite
