There's a large variety of non electric, electric and serviced grass and hardstanding pitches, for both campers and tourers. Or choose one of the glamping pods or geodomes for something a little extra. Pop down to Blacklands Beach for a day on the sand, a lovely getaway for all.

Don't often leave reviews but have to say what a very nice site this was. Started off with a very nice welcome from folk who genuinely care about their visitors. Can't fault it and highly recommend it.

Very peaceful site with excellent facilities. Spotlessly clean, modern shower block, grounds well-maintained with nice touches like a dog walking field, herb garden and dog shower.

Lovely site with beautiful views over Lynmouth and the bay, roads to the site are quite narrow and hilly but we expected that anyway, the site is very clean and all the staff were very friendly, from the site down to Lynmouth or Lynton only takes about 15 minutes in the car, there is a a tuck wagon on site which cooks chips, burgers and breakfast bites if you want, we tried the food and was happy with the quality and portion size, if I had one recommendation to the site owners it would be to adjust the showers and washbasin taps so they run longer rather than having to press the valve every 10/15 seconds, having said that we will go back to this site, by the way they have a great field for the dogs to run free although be aware of the ticks this time of year.

Location of the site was fantastic with great views. The toilet/ shower block was super clean and the showers were nice and hot. The cocktail van was a great addition with cheesy chips and breakfast rolls at very good prices. The walk down to Lynmouth was very nice, albeit quite a climb on the way back. The staff were all super friendly, would definitely recommend it.

Perfect pitch with stunning views across the Bristol channel to Wales. Lovely couple on reception, the airstream takeaway is class! Nice mix of tents and motorhomes on the site which has a great layout to suit everyone.

Great location and a good walk into Lynmouth and Lynton. Walking shoes required to walk the route into and from Lynmouth as the path is slippery in the wet and steep in places. Walk not suitable with people who have mobility issues.

Everything about this place was beautiful. The staff were extremely welcoming and assisted us when we had any queries or needed assistance. The area is wonderful and there is a lot to do. Would 100% recommend!

Though the staff were very attentive, I'm afraid this site is not for us! It was very difficult to get to as the roads were very narrow, extremely steep and very winding, not ideal for a 7.5m motorhome towing a car! Also, the pitch was on a slope and we'd forgotten our levelling ramps 🤦♀️

Our shake down night in our 'new to us' camper and it was great😃 We arrived a little early but were greeted with a smile and a ready and waiting pitch. Rabbit Field 2 pitch had great views and is close to the newly refurbished ablutions and the cocktail van 👍😍 Small shop on site allows you to buy a few bits and offers some breakfast items, and Daz, the company cocktail guy, opens up at 9am to provide breakfast rolls, all very nice. Very nice, 100% recommend 👍

Perfectly located for hikers. Close to Exmoor and a walk into Lynmouth or Lynton. The walks into Lynmouth and Lynton are on heavy gradients so be aware and make sure you have appropriate footwear. Short drives to Coombe Martin, Porlock, Ilfracombe and other coastal sites. Site is extremely well kept and the staff are very friendly, you get the feeling nothing would be too much trouble if you had any problems. Facilities are excellent. My only small complaint would be that the toilets and shower rooms were not heated during my stay and at times, they were very cold. It made showering a little unpleasant. All in all though, I believe it is a great site and well worth a visit.

Really clean, beautiful location. Facilities were really good, toilets included a hair dryer. Overall, a lovely place. Just to note, the pub next door is closed permanently.

I cannot recommend this site highly enough. I stayed for three nights in the middle of October my first solo trip away in my campervan. Although, one tiny downside is most of the pitches you'll need blocks for your vans as they all have a slight slope. I forgot mine, however, the staff said that I could have any one of the free pitches available to move to, so extremely accommodating. I've yet to go to a campsite with such good facilities. The toilet shower block all seem to be very new or if not kept in extremely good condition. What was lovely was when I went for a shower and it was freezing outside, the whole block was nice and warm! There are washing sinks with a small dishwasher, a freezer where you can put your ice blocks and a power bank for mobile devices. Lynton and Lynmouth is a beautiful place to visit quite a steep walk down to the town however, plenty of parking around, bear in mind it was mid October that I went. Valley of rocks is simply stunning. Also visited Ilfracombe half an hour drive away, which was worth a visit.

Lovely site with plenty of space. Very well kept with clean facilities, plenty of toilets, showers and pot washing sinks. You can walk to Lynton and Lynmouth through the fields and woods but it's hard going coming back. Just a few bits that people might be interested in if deciding to book - there is no lighting around the camping field so it's pitch black after dark - great for star gazing but you need a torch if you don't want to trip up. Also, there are no privacy cubicles in the facilities if you just want a wash or clean teeth in private. Take a torch into the facilities because the sensor doesn't pick up movement in toilets or showers - I learnt that one quickly!

Sounds like you had a great stay! The lack of lighting does make it perfect for stargazing, but definitely something to keep in mind for future visitors who might not be prepared for the dark. Glad you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and clean facilities!

A beautiful location with walking distance to Lynmouth and the local pubs. The facilities were amazing and clean. The bell tent itself was cosy and the bed was comfortable, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here and had a fantastic holiday. Exceptionally clean toilet facilities and a very clean campsite, the only thing that was lacking was maybe a bigger shop. September is always a gamble with the weather and we had all sorts from sunny days to howling winds, rain and frost, but we really enjoyed Devon and West Somerset.

Nothing wrong with the site, only the location. The views aren't the best, depending on your pitch. The pub restaurant been closed next door permanently. No bus route and dangerous roads to walk from the retreat. Their is a couple of walks from the retreat to Lynton and Lynmouth, they are a mile and a half each way. Not the best for disabled. Won't go there again.
