Enjoy a relaxing camping or glamping stay at Plough and Harrow, a country pub just 15 minutes from Dover and the beach. There are electric grass pitches for both tents and tourers, along with cosy glamping pods with their very own kitchenettes and ensuites. Unwind in the beer garden with a tipple and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. For days out, Canterbury is also just a 20 minute drive away, with Margate within 30 minutes too!

We absolutely loved our two nights here! We had a pod for three people which was so lovely. Double bed and two bunk beds. Comfy beds and warm enough during the night. Heaters provided helped when it was a bit chilly in the morning. En-suite bathroom was great with very powerful shower. Sink, kettle and fridge was enough for a few bits and there was some plates and cutlery. Picnic table out front in the sunshine. Pub on site re-opened the day we arrived. Nice atmosphere. As we had vegan members of the group, we couldn't enjoy the free buffet (nice touch) but they let us order and eat our pizza at our table. Everything was very clean and tidy and the site was great. Close to Sandwich, Deal and Dover. Minor suggestion would be to just add coat hooks in the main living/sleeping area as there wasn't anywhere to hang these up.

Noise from road, toilets not cleaned regularly and grey waste not emptying due to people putting everything down it, including barbecue charcoal.

I was greeted by Dave and another staff member and they were very friendly. They helped me with my electric hook up issue (I wasn't turning a switch properly ๐) and recommended places to visit nearby. Lovely place, clean and quiet. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe on the campsite. Would love to revisit with friends when the pub/restaurant opens in Summer.

Little campsite, very convenient for one night only when you take the ferry. The places are very narrow and noisy (Big Riad to Dover).
Well presented site, easy reach of Dover and South East Kent

Well presented site, nice grass pitches with electric hook up. The toilet/shower block is new and very clean, showers are hot and plenty of toilet paper in the loo's. The pub staff are super friendly and polite, good food, good beer all in all, if its just for a night on your way to Dover or for a longer stay exploring the Kent coast. You won't go far wrong staying at the Plough and Harrow.

2nd time we have visited. Great getaway for the family. Clean, peaceful and beautiful site. Pod was comfy and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Close to Deal, Sandwich and Broadstairs, so a really good base.

Owner was very helpful and offered to bring us drinks if we required them. Location is good as supermarkets, seaside and places of intrest close by. Perhaps pub could open on Monday and Tuesday for meals, say between 1800- 1900 hours.

Thank you for your kind words. We will take on board your comments about the opening times for food at the pub, however weโre glad that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again soon!

One toilet, which is not really enough for the number of pitches. Outside sinks are not great if weather is bad. Pitches are very close together and actually on the car park of the pub but great location if you are catching the ferry.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are continually trying to improve our site and we already have plans to upgrade the facilities over the quieter winter period. We would welcome the opportunity to have you stay with us again in the future!

For a stop over before/after a ferry, this is a good site. Only one toilet! Washing up facilities outside which is only ok when dry! Wish the pub had been open and we would probably have had a meal there.

Good for quietness. Not far away from local seaside. The plough and harrow pub was beautiful and friendly. It would be nice to have opened for breakfast

Good for an overnight stay if you can self cater

A clean site with one shower and one toilet for tourers. Thankfully we had our own shower and loo so didn't have to queue. The pub is really missing a trick as the food is very basic and the inside seating is sooo uncomfortable. We and other site users rebounded straight out of the pub (we'd planned to eat there on our first night but it was so poor, we decided to self cater). The wine was poor too. My husband tried 3 reds and each one was very rough. Tweak the food, seating and wine and you have a winning business. Location wise, it is very close to a dual carriage way and it was used by boy racers at night on the Friday. This is a pub car park turned into a site so it's not pretty but it is tidy and functional.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are always striving to improve our services across the site and we are sorry to hear that you did not find the pub very welcoming. Our menu and drinks selection is regularly reviewed to ensure that we are giving value to our customers, so we will definitely take your comments on board to see where changes could be made. In regard to the facilities, we are planning to upgrade the shower block over the winter, so we would definitely encourage you to visit again next year!
