About the site

This quiet, family friendly campsite is situated on a working farm, next door to a fascinating ancient Neolithic monument. Mature woodlands nearby provide a natural habitat for wildlife and, as well as awakening to a wonderful dawn chorus, with a little bit of fieldcraft and patience, you can expect to see red squirrels. As a former cricket ground, you are guaranteed a flat pitch as well as plenty of safe space for children to run around. There are a total of 30 non electric grass pitches and 7 electric grass pitches, each allowing tents and up to eight guests. For tourers, there are 9 hardstanding pitches with electric hook up. The site is located within five minutes of the A55 enabling access to most areas of the island within a twenty minute drive. There are also plenty of stunning beaches, including Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, within 15 minutes of the site and you can be at the heart of Snowdonia (including Zip World) in less than an hour. Each pitch also comes with its own fire pit, perfect for evenings of toasting marshmallows. BBQs are also allowed so make sure you bring your chef's apron! This is a peaceful spot and the owners would like to keep it that way, so please be aware that the site must be quiet after 9:30pm. Please note, this is a dog free site.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

We couldn't fault this campsite at all. It was in a really good location, very peaceful and quiet with beautiful surroundings. The site was very clean and the toilets and showers were spotless every time we used them. The games and woodland area were perfect for our small children and kept them well entertained.

Lovely peaceful site

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

We really liked it here. The shower rooms were kept beautifully clean, the shop on site sold everything we needed and particularly good was the lack of dogs on site - too many times we've camped, only to have other people's dogs spoiling the experience as they were allowed to roam around freely, peeing on tents and barking at night. The site was quiet despite it being bank holiday. Possibly, if it were busier, getting a shower in the morning might have become difficult, but we were up early so it wasn't a problem. The location was also good, with Rhosneigr just a short drive. The newly opened Crown in the village also was very good, although probably best to book on a weekend.
