Lovely site

Lovely, peaceful site. All you need at hand - clean toilets, hot showers cleaned daily, fresh eggs from the farm every day and a nice walk into Beverly. As our stay was Monday to Wednesday, the site wasn't very busy so it was nice and relaxed with friendly campers on site. Would recommend this site and would call again.

Great bank holiday break

Phone call from owners advising us of pitch number prior to arrival as we would be arriving late. Had a great pitch, facilities good and very clean. Lots of hot water for showers etc. Everything up cycled or recycled on site, loads of information about local area. Owners left you to it but were around if needed and we're very friendly. If visiting, you must try the farm eggs as they are amazing. Thanks for a great weekend.

Highly recommend

Quiet site on a working farm. 10 minute walk to first supermarket. About 40 minutes walk into Beverley or Wallington with shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Lovely site

Lovely site, spotless, friendly welcome from Oly and Jen, and lovely dog walks from site. Definitely would come back.

Brilliant for families

We had a wonderful stay. The owners came by to check on us, it's beautiful, with a wildflower meadow and it's perfect for families. It is also close to Hull and York.

Had a wonderful time staying in our lodge. Lovely, clean facilities and a beautiful surrounding area.

Lovely stay

First visit to Butt Farm. Lovely working farm with goats, cows, free range hens roaming and a very friendly cat. Our pitch was clearly marked on arrival and by text message. The site is just the right size for us to enjoy a peaceful stay. The bathroom/toilets were very clean. Nice barn to do your washing up and some interesting walks. Unfortunately, the weather was against us, non stop rain. We will definitely be returning though. Thank you Jen, lovely campsite 😀

Good facilities

Liked the site, good facilities and clean. Friendly folk. Handy for buses to Hull or Beverley so could leave the car! Nice to visit the gunsite also.

Nice, tidy and quiet site

Just booked for one night to break up a long journey. Site was tidy and well kept with good facilities worthy of a longer stay. Some traffic noise from the nearby main road, but we still slept soundly.

Rural retreat

Lovely couple of nights, with extremely clean facilities. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Short break

Lovely site with spacious pitches with EHU and water very near us. It was lovely to open the door and see cows adjacent. Shower and toilet blocks were new but there were only 2 female showers and 2 female toilets (same for men) so might be busy at peak times, no problem in late June. Owner lovely and welcomed us. Walking distant to Beverley and nice dog walks and cycle paths. Would come again.

Just lovely

We loved staying here. The site felt very relaxed, the facilities excellent and the pitch very spacious. The wind direction meant that we had a wee bit of road noise but this didn't detract from the loveliness. We hope very much to stay again.

Lovely campsite

We stayed as a group of two families with children aged from 7 to 12 and a dog. The site is perfectly located and you are able to walk into Beverley either cross country or down roads with wide pavement, safe for everyone. Beverley itself is beautiful! There are lots of dog walks direct from the site and the owners have printouts of 3 circular walks to help you out. Our youngest loved the goats and chickens who live in a pen near the entrance and the older ones loved the Sunday morning tour of the old WW2 gun turrets, which are on the farmland. We will definitely be back!

Great little site

Great little place. Myself and my son pitched for 2 nights. Everything we needed was there, it was easy to get to and we knew our pitch beforehand. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay :)

Excellent stay

Great little place & great facilities. Only stopped for one night but will certainly go back again. The farm cat curled up in our van like he had known us forever 😂

A wonderful short break

This was the perfect stop off on route from Sussex to Edinburgh. Beverly is just a short walk and and even quicker cycle. A big selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a station for trains to very attractive villages, coastal towns and cities. Lots to do! The site is beautifully kept with spacious pitches and modern facilities. I would recommend Butt Farm without reservation.

Wouldn’t recommend staying here

Very basic. Told on confirmation email we would have electric for phone chargers etc, but there wasn't. The beds were awful, if you are 5ft or under then you will fit fine. However, you will wake every hour as the mattress is so thin. You would be comfier on the ground. The owners were nowhere to be seen all weekend. As soon as we checked in, the closed sign was put on and when we checked out, we had to just leave the keys at the office because it wasn't attended for us to give the keys to anyone.

Thank you for your review, Jessica. These are traditional wagons and are off grid. Within the confirmation email it states there is electricity in the shared facilities for phone charging should you require it. The mattresses are bespoke due to the size of the traditional wagons and are a made from foam used in both boat & caravan beds. The sizing is mentioned on our listing - as they are smaller than a standard double bed again due to the size of the wagon. Upon check in you would have been given a welcome note that has our details on - these are also in each wagon. It states to get in touch with us if you require anything at all. As we are a small site we only man our reception for check in and like to leave our guests to enjoy their time away, knowing that they have our details should they need us. Thanks, Jen.

Fabulous little gem

What a lovely little site. We were camping. A good size plot. Really quiet. Lovely friendly and helpful owners. Immaculate facilities and amenities. Use of fridge and freezer was very useful. Near the lovely little town of Beverley with some lovely eating places.

Loved the Showman's caravan

We had a week stay in the Showman Caravan at Butt Farm. We loved it. Great facilities for such a small site. Never felt overly busy. Warm welcome from the owners and useful information boards in the washing up area. Close to Beverley and a large Morrisons supermarket. Lots to do in and near Beverley.

Great weekend

Just arrived home after a 4 day stay at Butt Farm. Great campsite and very quiet lovely walks in the fields and public walks. Owner Jen was lovely and very welcoming, the receptionist (owner's mother-in-law) was lovely and very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend this campsite.
