Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 The site is brilliant, our first time camping in a long time and this was the perfect place to start with food trucks and a mobile bar at the weekend, so much space and choice of pitches. The guys who run the site are fantastic, very friendly very helpful make you feel at home right away absolutely 5stars

Great views but needs more facilities
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Booked a last minute 2 night stay with our tent when the sun came out, so not much available. Huge site, plenty of space & could pitch in any of the various available fields.
Several with an incline but stunning views. Really friendly & welcoming owners, very relaxed. Looks like they've opened up new toilets & showers which were kept clean, but there just isn't enough for the amount of users on a busy weekend. Long waits for the showers, poor water pressure & toilets constantly getting blocked. There is another set of toilets & showers on the farm but they weren't clean & nobody used them.
Small shop selling wood, fire pits, sweets & a few other bits you might have forgotten.
Over the weekend, there was a van selling pizzas, very popular & reasonably priced, need to order quick as they sold out both nights. There was also a pop up bar & another pop up food van selling Greek food which seemed popular, they were also selling breakfast the next day.
Great location for walking in Lathkill Dale, not far from Bakewell or Monyash.
Advertised as having a children's play area - this is a couple of tyre swings in a bit of scrub forest. A field or a fenced off section with some goals or somewhere for the kids to congregate on an evening would be very welcomed.
Great campsite, friendly owners, reasonably priced but short on facilities & no play area would dissuade me from returning again.

The only negative for us were the showers. Quite a big queue in the morning and the water pressure was poor (presuming due to the demand due to how busy it was) although this wouldn't put us off returning again.

One night stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Excellent campsite, very friendly owners. Fully equipped for a Excellent stay with 2 small children, huge site with amazing scenery, food on site was delicious, toilets and showers immaculately clean.
Its very spacious and quiet at night. Very helpful owners he even jump started my car in the morning as the kids had drained the battery!! Strongly recommend and we'll definitely be back !

Very busy though - was kept up by music and loud talking until 3am although my children were unbothered by it. Pizza wasn't great, lacked toppings and shop was very expensive.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025 Great site with LOTS of space, even when it's 'full'. Loved the amazing views from the far fields, the very welcoming and lovely staff and the food/cocktail van (such a great touch!).
Only slight improvement would be a cover over the washing up area (had to stand in the rain) but that's being picky.
Overall a great, fun site - will return!

Big campsite!
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 This place has many fields to choose from including some hard standing pitches for campers / motor homes.
Great place might be a bit of a walk to the facilities if you end up in a far away field but there's plenty of space which makes it great. Fantastic walks around the area too. Will be back here for sure.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Owners very chatty and friendly. On site shop had everything you needed. Firepit, wood and kindling little over priced.
Very limited toilets, showers, washing up facilities for the amount of people allowed on. Facilities were a little untidy but this could just be by other people, not the campsite's fault as not expected to be clean all the time.
Campsite was a little like a festival and not the type of campsite we would usually like. Although, I don't really have anything bad to say, we wouldn't stay here again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 If you want to be surrounded by beautiful scenery and you love a buzzing group/family friendly site, then this is the place for you.4
If you want peace and quiet, steer clear. Loud music, loud talking, dogs barking and cars moving around most of the night. Might be very different out of the holiday season!
The toilets and showers are clean and plentiful. Onsite catering options if you don't want to cook and a little shop too, even fire pits for hire. It even has direct access to Lathkill Dale if walking is your thing.

Although I do think they could do with more toilets and showers as they were really busy all the time but other than that the place is amazing.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Our first time visiting this campsite and we really enjoyed it. The owners were lovely and helpful and there are plenty of fields to choose from to pitch in. They had food and drinks trucks and the shop with all the essentials! The location is great, especially with the walk at the bottom of the field into the valley and close to nearby villages. We really enjoyed staying here and will be returning.
There could be more of some facilities, since there are so many fields and can hold a lot of guests the facilities can be quite a walk to get to and can get really busy. It would be handy to have more bins around the campsite (as there is only the ones at the very front by the shop), more drinking water points and another shower/toilet block.
Overall a great stay!

A lovely stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 A lovely stay, the toilets were lovely. I didn't get to use the showers as they were always busy. It got very busy on the Friday and Saturday which was a shame.
But no surprise as it was a lovely campsite. Only downside was the shop was never open when we went past. However, the town is only a 10 minute drive away. We would recommend and would return :)

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 We had a lovely stay at Haddon grove campsite, from start until finish. After checking in and being greeted by one of the super friendly owners, we got to choose our pitch from a number of different fields. We like a quieter area so we pitched on the "pine" field, the views were amazing.
The facilities, both toilets and showers were always clean - this is super important to us! There were never any queues for either, plenty of cubicles. The showers are spacious and have a few hooks installed to hang towels, toiletries etc. There are four washing up sinks which are large and provided warm and cold water. There is an outside tap which we used to rinse our muddy dog down!
Both Friday and Saturday provided a woodfired pizza truck, a bar and a Greek style food truck. We tried the woodfired pizza out on the Saturday and it was lovely. I do recommend ordering early as they do get quite busy which is understandable.
We hired a firepit on Saturday too which you can get from the site, along with fire wood, starters and matches. There is an on site shop which you can get a few essentials from too.
Overall a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!
