Three Nights Camping
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Aug 2025 Lovely site in a great location with lots of walks from the site. Great views from your pitch and a fantastic local pub about ten minutes walk away. My only gripe would be the lack of toilet facilities when the site is busy.
Superb campsite!
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Aug 2025 We had been touring Scotland and the UK for almost 4 weeks when we arrived at Hartington Hills. Amongst all the campsites we stayed at, this one definitely wins the prize: The staff not only gave us a great and friendly welcome, but went over and beyond to answer all our questions concernig the facilities, local pubs and public transport. The facilities were spacious, well layed out and definitely the cleanest we have seen in the four weeks on the move. The nearby bus stop offered easy access to Bakewell and Buxton and moreover a spectacular trip through the Derbyshire Dales stopping for most of the popular hiking trails in the area. A hidden gem!

The site was immaculate, and spotlessly clean, staff were helpful and friendly. We loved our stay there and hope to return.
First class showers & toilets
Motorhome - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Jul 2025 We stayed for 4 nights; the staff were all very friendly and helpful and gave us directions via a footpath to the Manifold trail.
The showers don't automatically switch off and were a good temperature. There were 3 ladies and gents showers and toilets very clean and warm this sometimes meant queuing when the site was full.
Our only bugbear were the thoughtless dog owners who didn't keep their dogs on a lead as they were supposed to, but this obviously wasn't the site owners fault.
Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Jul 2025 Good quiet location with excellent, clean facilities and well serviced sites for campervans/motorhomes. Great area for exploring parts of Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Close to cycle trails and good walks.
Short stay
Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Jul 2025 Site was as described on website, easy access via mainly main roads.
Very central to visit other areas, typically about 25 mins away from everywhere we visited. Pitches were good size, with water, electric hook up and waste water on the pitch. Slight slope on our pitch but easy to level with the right gear.
Spotlessly clean and above all else, peacefully quiet.
Definitely going to book again and stay longer next time.

Nice little shop, really tidy well cut grass areas.
All motorhome facilities.

Can't recommend this place enough. Beautiful spot. Lots of lovely walks near by and places to visit.

Good size pitches with 360 views.
Toilets and showers are great.
Great base for exploring the peaks.
Just a 15 minute stroll to the local, dog friendly pub!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches May 2024 Lovely, quiet site with superb facilities. Everything was immaculate, the welcome was warm and friendly, and the pub food was beautiful - just far enough away for the meal to settle on the walk back.

Derbyshire Charm
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches May 2024 Clean facilities, good level pitches, great hosts and a nice on-site shop. Peaceful. Play area for little ones and Shetland Ponies for kids and parents to fawn over.
We struck lucky weather wise and enjoyed a great stay. Aurora borealis visible one night! We missed it, but lots saw it! Easy 20 minute walk over fields to the Manifold Inn, with good food, lots of drinks choice and dog friendly. Take a torch if you walk there at night.
More difficult 45 minute walk to Hartington over boggy fields and along a section of road, but plenty of hostelries there. Good touring base for Buxton, Tissington, only a short drive away.
Very popular site, books up quickly.

Our stay Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Super Pitches Apr 2024 Upper Hurst Farm is in a great area for walking in the Peak District, with a lovely village 2 miles away and a pub within walking distance.
