Great campsite that is run very well. The toilet and shower block was maintained to a very high standard of cleaning. One of the best bits for me is there is no club or bar on site, so you had to spend time with the family. There is a great dog walking area around a field of horses that are really friendly.
Site's response
Thanks Roger, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Excellent site, very large pitches. Liked the A.N.P.R entrance/ exit barrier, nice wagon to get refreshments and very clean toilets and showers. Well organised and excellent dog walks. The advance information is exactly what we got no entertainment or bar, nice and peaceful. Well done to all the hard working team to make the stay enjoyable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Ernest. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here. Hope to see you again soon.

Had a lovely stay in a clean site. The coffee and pizza stand were a welcome touch on our rainy stay! The only thing we would have liked would be some private sinks for washing/brushing teeth as the only sinks available were the communal ones in the toilets.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I will pass your compliments on to the staff who work hard to keep the site clean and tidy and we will give some thought to your suggestion of some private sinks. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, the coffee stand, pizzas and Thai takeaway have all been very popular additions this year.

A lovely secluded site, with excellent (spotless!) facilities. There's a very nice pub to be found in the local village, two minutes in the car, or 20 minutes walk through the trees. All in all, a great place to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Ian. Glad you enjoyed the site and surroundings, we hope to see you again soon.

Family of 4 and 2 dogs had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Definitely one we will be returning to. Clean, hot showers, freezer to keep ice blocks frozen, park for the kids. Safe and secure so no worries about going out for the day. There is also not a bad pub nearby. The New Forest is beautiful, definitely one of my favourite places in the UK.

Thank you for your lovely review, James, I'm glad you all enjoyed it here. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

So we went with the family to stay and whilst there is a park and a shop and pub a short walk away, that is it. So, if like us, there is a family and you plan on just staying in the park then check the weather. As we took our dogs with us, we were limited to stay on the park. Then it rained, so after a short walk to the shop in Aderholt, we were confined to the tent all day. Difficult, as we had the dogs and 3 kids. There was a takeaway on site (Thai) so we were okay with that and there is also a shop that sells basic bits, although £3 for a hot chocolate was quite pricey in my opinion. There are things to do a short car journey away though. As we are fairly local, it was just convenient. I probably would not stay there again as on site, it's very limited. But a nice stay, even though we had to leave a day early as the wife was unwell.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, Ian. It is a quieter park and many people come here because of that. We don't charge for pools, etc, which not everyone wants. I know some families went to nearby Moors Valley Country Park where dogs are welcome and the trees, huge wood climbing structures and café provided some shelter from the rain. There's also an indoor inflatable play area in Salisbury which is fun for a rainy day and not too far. We hope your wife is feeling better.

We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. Lovely site, very clean. Toilet/shower blocks are very modern and well-maintained. Good size pitches. Handy little onsite shop. Delicious onsite Thai takeaway, which is very reasonably priced Will definitely return.

Lovely site, beautifully presented, with a site shop and also a little DVD /book/magazine library. The toilets and showers are spotless, although there aren't many, but we didn't experience any issues. The best thing is that there is a Thai takeaway on site! Superb.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your time here. I wonder whether you found both toilet & shower blocks? The onsite Thai takeaway has been a popular addition this year.

Service was good in that we never were wanting for anything. Dropped a star as no one came to see how well we were getting on after check in and introduce a friendly face. Also, we found no one seemed to come and tell a big group to turn their music off, past 10pm.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry you didn't meet any of the staff, there are usually plenty around although we try not intrude unless help is needed. We make regular patrols in the evenings and will speak to anyone with loud music to try to ensure others aren't disturbed.

We had a serviced pitch, it was empress as was every other services pitch. All we could hear throughout the day was birdsong and an occasional horse winning. We have never been to such a restful site, completely away from the hustle and bustle.

Lovely, glad you enjoyed it!

Cannot fault the site but it would be nice to have a bit of human contact even to welcome you in or thank you for staying!
Site's response
Thank you for leaving a review. There is always someone in reception/the shop during office hours and the staff make regular tours of the site and will happily chat but don't like to intrude as some guests come to get away, it's a delicate balance.

Cannot recommend this site enough. Fantastically clean, beautifully laid out and very well run. Facilities are brand new and better than most hotels. It is dog friendly and is set up to make your whole experience for you and your best friend(s) a holiday to remember. Whilst on-site is on lead, access from the site to a woodland area gives your friends the chance to run free. Will definitely return and make it a longer stay.
Site's response
Thanks for your lovely review, Paula. We all have dogs ourselves so we understand their needs and like to accommodate them as part of the family. The walks in the forest nearby are lovely and unlimited and there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches within about 30 minutes drive.

This is a lovely site. The pitches are large and well marked. The entry / exit is clearly marked and works well with the ANPR recognition. The facilities were very clean and so handy to have an ice pack freezer. The woodland walk to the village was well marked and easy to find from the back of the site. We sold our campervan the day before we arrived so decided to stay in our tent, which was fine as the pitch was so level. We've booked to stay again.
Site's response
Really glad you enjoyed your stay Anne, we look forward to seeing you again soon.
