A fabulous few quiet nights away at Brook Farm! James was there to meet us when we arrived and explained about the site. As it was quiet, he said we could pitch where we wanted to. It is a small quiet site with well kept grass pitches, enclosed by woods on two sides with beautiful views across the local farmland. There are public footpaths in the woods behind the campsite - one path even leads to the pub in Blean! On Friday and Saturday evenings there were wood fired pizzas available, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, crepes, waffles and coffee were available all from a converted shepherds hut on-site run by James. Good supplies of wood and kindling was available at a fair price and James also had fire pits that you could hire if you needed to. There were animal pens in the middle of the site with a variety of animals including sheep, chickens, ducks and Guinea pigs and food can be purchased for children to feed the animals. On Monday when it was quiet, the sheep and goats were let out to roam the field and keep the hedge lines in check! James is in the early stages of building something special here, nothing was too much trouble for him and his customer service was second to none. Our only piece of constructive criticism would be the toilet block. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers onsite and when the site was busy on a Saturday there could on occasion be a wait for the showers and toilets and during this period the hygiene standards slipped a little. However a lot of this was due to a lack of consideration by the people using them! The provision of a couple of extra toilets and showers would be a welcome addition and do a lot to ease this pressure. Overall, a fab campsite which was close enough but far enough from Whitstable. The local taxi service will also collect and drop off there (make sure you book in advance if Friday or Saturday night!) We will definitely be back to see how James's project is progressing (at the time of writing he was in the process of constructing a site office) and would recommend this site for couples or families. Many thanks James!

Had a super week, lots of space! Lovely woodland walks from site - great if you have a dog, very dog friendly. Very close to Whitstable, Canterbury and Folkestone for exploring. James was a great host. Pizza Friday was a treat.

We really enjoyed our stay- good location, lovely village nearby! Toilets and shower blocks are clean, with great hot water! Washing up station could do with some overhead roofing! As if it had been raining, it would not be ideal! But for our first time in our VW camper it was great, would go back !

Signage of where reception etc is would be beneficial for new arrivals. Pizzas are a super fun idea.

Lovely little campsite. Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Nice and relaxing. Pizza cooked on site was delicious. Toilets were kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap. Only downside was no paper towels to dry hands and only one sink in the bathroom which was in high demand at teeth brushing time! Other than that it was a lovely place to stay!

What a lovely site. Big plots and you choose your own space. The toilets are flushing and were clean although sometimes lacked paper as the dispenser blocked. Lovely extras like the little snack hut and ability to rent fire pits. We will definitely be back.

Everyone was friendly and we had a good time for a night. My wife and I were hiking and came with no car, we needed a fire pit to cook but they ran out, the team were really helpful and they had an old tripod and a small grill which we used to cook in the end. It was frustrating that there wasn't enough and it was windy and cold at night so we had a challenging time getting the fire going and cooking etc. We had an early night due to the cold.
Lovely, tranquil site

Lovely site nestled right against the woods. Decent sized and clearly marked pitches, clean toilets and showers. Friendly welcome from the owner, James, and the resident animals were a big hit with the kids. Cafe and pizza were available on busier days- reasonably priced and good quality. Convenient drive (15 mins) from Canterbury. Youngest member of the family has already asked to go back!!

Lovely little sport located between Canterbury and Whitstable. We stayed with our 11 month old and had a great time - he loved the animals! Facilities are basic but for £20 a night, you get toilets (with toilet paper!) and a hot shower, which is great. The café is really a real bonus (weekends only) and being able to hire a fire pit and logs took loads of faff out of having to pack them. James was an excellent host, working hard to help all on site. We cycled into Canterbury through the forest and it was a 15 min drive to Whitstable, so really convenient.
A nice, new and up & coming site!

A nice, new and up & coming site! I took my young daughter and we really enjoyed the two nights. My daughter loved feeding the animals and the home-made pizzas from the site's café/pizza oven :-). Recommend this site to anyone, a great way to relax and at a great price!

First time staying at Brook Farm We enjoyed our stay. We went for a walk through the woods, visited and fed the animals on the site. Nice warm showers. Handy café on site too. And if you fancy, there is a pub around 1.5 miles away. Friendly staff. We will definitely go back there.
Pretty, needs some improving though

The positives are, lovely setting with beautiful wood behind, perfect for families with young children. Things that need improving are toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Only cold water in sinks, no paper towels or dryer. The toilet roll dispensers were often jammed. We showered at quiet time as heard other guests complaining about cold water. Shower floors need cleaning. Handles are a bit too high for kids to lock and there is no way to tell if anyone is in there without turning the handle. Washing up facilities are two outside sinks that were often blocked, maybe a bin for food scraps might help. There are pizzas available but need ordering in advance. I did speak to the owner, I think maybe staff need a bit more training and need to be around more to check things are clean and working. It is a nice setting and perfectly located but I am not sure we would return.

Absolutely fantastic. We had a lovely family long weekend here. The lodge was so cosy, clean and comfortable. James was an awesome host who provided us we a load of goodies including marshmallows which our 3 year old loved toasting on the fire pit in the evenings. The farm was beautiful and we loved the fact that we could feed the animals here (a big thumbs up 👍🏻) Thank you so much for having us. Rachael, Jason and Izzy

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in meadow lodge at Brook Farm. James was an excellent host, friendly and helpful. We had lovely pizzas from his wood fired oven and crepes at his little cafe. The site is right by the woods, perfect for dog walking. The lodge was well appointed and cozy even over night. The shower was hot. Even had a little enclosed garden so dog could be off the lead. Had a great time, would highly recommend it, we will definitely be going back.
