Broome Island is a unique island campsite that is only accessible by boat, with camping and glamping in the Riverside Cabin. Situated on the River Soar between Barrow and Mountsorrel, the site offers exclusive hire for families, groups and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Facilities include a double BBQ, campfire circle, toilet and hot shower, USB charging and WiFi.

About the site
Situated along the River Soar, this riverside site is the perfect option for small or larger groups, with exclusive use of the site. Boat from Barrow upon Soar or Mountsorrel and enjoy stunning waterside views as you arrive at the campsite. Pitch up a tent on a non electric grass pitch and enjoy toasting marshmallows around the campfire, or impress your friends with your cooking skills on the double-width brick BBQ. The site is particularly suitable for canoe adventures and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. If glamping is more your thing, opt to stay in the cosy two-person Riverside Cabin, equipped with a comfy double bed, lighting and USB charging, and a mini fridge. Catering and drinks packages are available too. The site is also ideally located to explore the rest of Leicestershire, with Loughborough just a 15 minute drive from the site. You can also stay onsite and take your kayak out along the river. Four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your stay, with plenty of footpaths nearby.
