A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to The T Barn, our collection of farm projects in Barnsley, a quintessential Cotswold village. After spending years juggling life between working in food and events in London, helping to milk the cows, and raising our boys, I (Eloise) decided it was time to leave my own mark on farm life. The barn, once the heart of the farm, felt like the perfect place to begin.

My husband Austin's family has farmed Church Farm since 1954, when his grandfather, Joe Russell, began the tradition. Today, the farm combines arable, dairy, and agri-tourism. We're proud to supply milk to Marks and Spencer, maintaining the highest standards of welfare. Austin is also a Marks and Spencer Environmental Indicator farmer and was honoured to win the 2022 Farming with Nature award.

Now, the farm is evolving with projects close to our hearts, including shepherds' huts, asado barbecue farm suppers, weddings, parties, floristry workshops, and even Christmas trees. We're always open to fresh ideas and love hearing new suggestions!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

We have enjoyed an idyllic weekend. Our preference is for simple sites with plenty of space where we can have a fire and T-Barn fitted the bill perfectly. Hot, spacious showers were delightful and those and the compost loos were kept pristine...the best we have come across. No wifi made this a real retreat. Walks from the area are lovely and the view from up the hill is stunning. The local pub is a short and beautiful walk away from the site offering good quality food and drink. We would definitely return.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

This was our first stay in our newly purchased camper, so as newbies, this was the perfect introduction to camping! The pitch was great, the area around was big enough for us to roam free, and throw sticks (Ralph my Frenchie adores them!!). The toilets & shower blocks were excellent, and cleaned daily. The provided fire pits were obvious, and can be filled with timber provided in a small shed, with an honest box to pay for what's used (excellent idea). The views were amazing, and we saw Deer's running in the fields most mornings when we walked. The local Village Pub (10-15 minutes walk, safely), with a good selection of beers/ales/ciders, and an excellent menu, which was affordable and delicious. My only gripe was there didn't seem to be lots to do in the immediate area, although we did venture out in the camper to various places. I was a visitor though, so may well have missed local opportunities to visit.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Stayed 2 nights at this campsite and was very pleased with the site. Very quiet, as stated on the description, if this is what you're after to just relax. Campsite was found easy by the pin point given to get you there. Bad points were poor phone signal but, if you want to get away from all devices and back to the old school, it's ideal like it was for us. Just 15 minute walk down the country lane we found a nice pub called the Village Pub. Great food, staff and drinks. Going back to the site, the toilets and showers were very clean showers were nice and warm. Compost toilets but had no issues. Sinks to wash your pots and pans. Local areas to visit for walks and sight seeing. Would I stay again? 100% yes.
