Great site with friendly staff
VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2026 We spent 3 nights here and have to say the staff were friendly, helpful and made our stay more enjoyable. The on site shop has a fair amount of produce, enough for those emergencies and if you haven’t planned properly the offerings will get you by.
The on site food box has plenty of good food for those evenings sat having a pint and a relax with the family. All in all a great site and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Spent 3 nights here,we was running late wnen staff rang us to find our eta and offer advice as gates shut at certain times so advise you check first so your prepared. We arrived with just minutes to spare, staff and facilities were lovely and welcoming, location only minutes drive to Bowness on Windermere or the steam train. Nice pub and food van on site not open to late so site goes quiet. Overall a great stay, would go again.

Great location and welcoming staff
Large Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Aug 2026 All facilities were cleaned thoroughly once a day with regular checks and tidy ups throughout the day. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to charge our devices in reception whenever we needed. The site overall is very well kept and the play area is great for kids of all ages. The atmosphere was great for families and couples alike, very relaxed and everyone was courteous. We will be back without a doubt.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Aug 2026 This site was more than we expected. It was clean, facilities were good with two lots of toilets and showers for male and females. There is a laundry and plenty of sinks to wash dishes etc. the club house was decent and staff were all really lovely. The food from the outdoor kiosk was lovely too, there are gluten free options and will change things to accommodate other intolerance's which was great. Thank you to all staff.

Camping Pod - Family Comfort Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Aug 2026 This was our first time using a pod and it was great.
Everything was immaculate and the facilities were fantastic. If you're using the bus then there isn't really a bus stop, you have to flag it down but we did this without any issues. The food from the onsite catering was delicious and the menu changed every day so there was plenty of variety. The quiz was fun but we were pretty close to the bar so the singer (who was performing outside) really disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. He finished early enough though so he didn't stop us from sleeping.

Family orientated site
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches Aug 2026 This was the first site of our stay, nice pub on site, food truck was amazing..Sunday lunch Yorkie was delicious. Staff were great and told us a short cut I to get the bus from the end of the road into Bowness even though it's not an official stop!! Saved alot of walking! Lots of children on site but a quiet night and good sleep.

Large Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We were a group of 2 adults plus an 11 year old. All of the facilities were fantastic and there’s a great walk to a local hilltop with fabulous views on a clear day. The bar and games area were great for the one rainy evening we had.

Camping Pod - Family Comfort Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2026 what a beautiful site tucked away just up from lake Windemere. we had a great time with our two boys and our dog all of whom were catered too brilliantly on site.
clean hot showers, laundrette, great food available and a bar for the evenings. Handy location for exploring the lakes and everything it has to offer. Our pod was very cute and next to all the amenities, stunning views of the lake! we will definitely go back.

Seemed great for little children but for my older ones age 12 and 15 the games room was a bit lacking. We had a nice meal on the Tuesday night from the onsite food place. The toilets and showers were clean and all the staff were very friendly.

Small Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Jul 2026 The showers were constantly hot and clean. The water in the washing up sinks was also lovely and hot. The site was kept very tidy. The views across Windermere were gorgeous. I would definitely use this site again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Jul 2026 My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and had a relaxing, beautiful stay. Gorgeous scenery and very peaceful ( apart from the very expressive sheep 🤣). Will definitely return!

Camping Pod - Couples Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2026 Gorgeous scenery, the site is immaculate and the staff very friendly. Toilets and shower facilities kept very clean and tidy. Very peaceful and quiet on an evening. Great location for Bowness/Windermere and only 25 mins to Kendal which is worth a visit. We stayed in a Pod , ideal for solo or couple, warm, dry and slept fine.

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches Jun 2026 Drove 3 hours in 30 degree heat to arrive and was certainly not disappointed.
Site is beautiful, well maintained and has a shop, food available and an on-site bar! Staff were very friendly, approachable and informative on local walks and access into Bowness. All in all, great 3 night stay and will certainly be going back.

The pods are a great alternative to a tent. The couples pods are located in a great little spot on the site. The facilities are spotlessly clean and very dog friendly. There are plenty of toilets and showers and a laundry room. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food hut is fab and great value. The bar staff are so friendly and welcoming and chatty. This is an all round fabulous site and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. This is my 2nd visit and I'll definitely go back.
It would be good if the shop had a little more stock in it as it's about 4 miles to the nearest petrol station to get supplies.
We had the strong smell drifting our way from one of the tents on our last night. The staff have been informed and seemed keen on approaching and resolving the issue. Cannot fault the place. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Quick weekend for great north swim
Medium Tent - Non Electric Fellside Grass Pitches Jun 2026 It had been a while since we have camped but we’re very happy with the site. It had everything we needed good pitches and the facilities were clean and Bar with entertainment were very good and very laid back
We will defiantly be heading back again.
Also good access to Bowness/ windermere
