Peak District stay Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 The site is located near a busy, main road and can be quite noisy from heavy traffic.
When we booked the site, we asked for a fully serviced pitch, which we paid for, but once we had paid our full balance a few days before we travelled. We were contacted by email & told we had been moved to the pitch next door, to accommodate another guest who was apparently staying longer. The email also stated that all pitches were close to the facilities, as it was only a small site. Not true!
The only pitches close to the facilities are no's 1 2 & 3, because unfortunately, due to the layout of the site, once you have managed to get to the out of the way side entrance, you then still have 3 doors & 2 rather long corridors to negotiate. There is a front entrance which would be slightly more accessible, however access is prohibited to the public & is for staff only. Having requested a pitch close to the facilities, we were less than thrilled to be moved, but would have been happier had we been moved to one of the 3 pitches which are slightly nearer the facilities. 🙁
As it would appear that all the pitches on this site are fully serviced pitches, why inconvenience us at all?
Also, the chemical disposal point on this site, is less than adequate. Due to the lack of a hose pipe to flush out your cassette toilet, which you have had to use due to the 'out of the way' facilities. I felt that these are too far away in day light, let alone when it is pitch black.
Although we will not be visiting this site again, we did have a brilliant holiday in the Peak District and will definitely be visiting the area again.

Full pitch for campervan. Great facilities. The toilets, kitchen and lounge are modern and clean. Self service, which was perfect, just set up.
The office was open should we have needed anything. Very good location for exploring the area too.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 This is a great site, located not far from Buxton and Bakewell.
The no check in was really convenient, we could just drive into the allocated pitch.
We didn't get to use it, but there was a lovely lounge available with plenty of local information in there.

Twin Axle Caravan - Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 A great location for exploring the Derbyshire Dales.
The facilities were nice and very clean.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Campervan Pitches Dec 2023 Excellent facilities for van pitches around the old barn. Clean and warm toilets, showers, kitchen and communal room. Good location for walks around Derbyshire Dales. Friendly pub, good food and ales at The Church Inn at Chelmorton, a 20 minute walk away.

Winter weekend
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2023 On quite a noisy corner but apart from that, the site was very clean, there is a fantastic proper shower with lots of hot water, which is often lacking even on 5* sites, and it was very well landscaped. We got caught in the heavy snows and the owner ensured the site was cleared to the road and provided us with travel info.

Autumn getaway
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2023 Very well maintained, compact site which had good clean facilities.
We had a fully serviced pitch for our caravan which made our stay very comfortable. I was surprised at the road noise but obviously we knew the site was by the road when we booked in. It was just a bit busier than we expected at times.

Lovely campsite with top notch facilities
VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Campervan Pitches Oct 2023 Although it is a distance from any local facility, we would definitely stay again.
We didn't need the pub, we stayed a while in the communal lounge playing board games and enjoying the warmth it provided. The shower facilities were extremely clean and well provided, the kitchen was a great addition which we weren't expecting.
We didn't have to meet anyone to book in, which suited us fine. We were sent a text with our pitch number which was easy to find and it meant we could turn up at our leisure.
Highly recommend Farditch Farm to anyone staying with a camper or caravan.

A nice little site
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 The location is good, as we knew it was, and the facilities are very good and clean.
We arrived at the site as 13:25, only to find it was not available as the previous people had not left, so we waited until they packed up and left. Not the pitch we would have chosen as the road noise was very bad but overall, a nice little site.

A lovely little spot Single Axle Caravan - Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 A small site with gravel pitches. No levelling needed. Fully serviced. Each pitch is 3 sides surrounded by plants to create seclusion. Only thing missing was a bit of grass for the dog to lay on.
A large building contains beautiful showers, a disabled shower, full kitchen including washing machine and a communal room with sofas etc. Outside there is a large field and also a small paddock for dog walking. 30 minutes walk to nearest pub in Chelmorton, which sells lovely food. Bus stops nearby.
The downside was it's situated on a busy route for lorries and other traffic. It's also on the flight path for Manchester Airport so it's not as quiet as other Peak sites.

Great facilities, no fuss!
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 The facilities on the site were fantastic, the pitches were spaced out and the site was lovely and quiet. There was no fuss checking in or out, we received an email with our pitch number and everything was clearly signposted when we arrived.
It was a shame that our pitch was not on grass when we had a booking with dogs as it made it a little difficult to tie them up without a stake. It wouldn't stop us staying again though now that we're aware.

Good facilities but not enough space between pitches
VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Campervan Pitches Aug 2023 Small campervan pitch was really close to the neighbouring van which had a dog which was not friendly. We booked this site because of its proximity to the local village pub so we could call for a meal and drinks, and then have a quiet night in the Peak District. The pub strangely was closed on a Tuesday. As we had no food we drove into Buxton for a meal then decided because of the pitch, not the facilities, rather than drive back to the site, just to continue our journey home and not stay the night.

Farditch is far better
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 Only a short stay, but Farditch is far better than other sites for cleanliness and the facilities, showers as good as your own home. Small and friendly site, enclosed dog run is great

An okay stay Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 This caravan site is ok. The facilities are good and very clean.
The major issues are the caravan pitches are in a square, so all you see are other vans on the site. This is such a shame when the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The other issue is the noise from the main road which is used by a lot of motorbikes, who appear to use it as a race track, or that is what it sounds like.
The local village has a good pub.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Campervan Pitches Aug 2023 One of the cleanest campsites I’ve ever been to! Great spot with a lovely pub within walking distance. Kids loved the cows and dog was happy to run in the dog safe designated waking area. Fantastic!
