Perfect Camp site
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 Had a wonderful time there with my grandkids. They loved being able to explore the woods, befriend the peacocks and see the alpacas and nearby emus!

We had a fantastic stay at Barn Farm Campsite and would highly recommend it, especially for families. The grounds are very well maintained, the facilities were clean and easy to use, and the location was excellent with lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep.
This was our first time camping as a family, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The whole family really enjoyed the experience and we’d definitely come back again!

Fantastic family campsite
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 This was our fourth year at Barn Farm - we keep coming back because it’s perfect for our group of three friends and their families. Kids (under 9s) all have a brilliant time every summer, playing in the playground and in the family field. Showers and washing up facilities are top notch, plus an on-site shop to pick up anything ever forgotten. The breakfast butty van wasn’t open the weekend we stayed this year, which was much missed, but 5/5 all the same.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We spent a lovely weekend at Barn Farm with our friends and daughter.
Excellent facilities, lovely location and very helpful staff. Had a difficult night one due to an Owner's Club group being particularly noisy next to our pitch, but the campsite owners sorted this out immediately for us the next day and they were much more respectful of the quiet time curfew.

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 2nd time of visiting Barn Farm and had just as much fun this time as the previous visit. Stunning location, good walks, great area for kids and adults to play about in and good facilities. Decent food stall for breakfast as well as a Pizza set up on Friday nights...maybe other nights too? Brilliant all round

Nice to have adult only showers, hair dryers provided with thanks, other shower facilities were good too. Shop on site. Good food truck but a little expensive. Paper towels in the toilets could be softer and more absorbent.
Swings need some WD40! Probably needed more bins as filled up quickly. Some nice walks from the campsite through the heathland. Nice pubs down the road. Bus that went through the village.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We stayed on a hardstanding pitch with several other camper vans. There were literally a hundred tents which were informally pitched and looked great fun if you were camping with larger groups
Great family friendly site
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 The family field was great for our two nights stay - the kids had fun playing together, with adults joining in too. Good facilities and never any queues for toilets or showers. Nice pubs within walking distance and a pop up pizza oven on the Friday night meant we didn't need to pack our BBQ.

Easy access to peak district.
Facilities were cleaned regularly but could definitely use an upgrade.
We'd stay here again.
Family camping trip
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2026 A lovely location with great views and friendly staff. Plenty of showers and toilets which were regularly cleaned. An ideal small park for young children however the swing could do with being oiled (very squeaky early in the morning) and some rickety climbing apparatus which could benefit from some updating. Overall we had a fab stay, we would definitely recommend and return in the future. Thank you!
Amazing Time at Barn Farm
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 We had a brilliant time over the last few days. Yes, the weather was glorious but the campsite location was brilliangt with amazing views, showers and toilet facilities were spot on and the playground was well used by the 10 kids in our party.
They had a pizza truck on Friday night which was brilliant and the pubs down the road were great and we also took a drive to Ashford in the Water which was English beauty at it's best.
Will def be returning to the campsite next year
A perfect couple of days
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2026 I haven't stayed on Barn Farm's campsite since pre Covid when I accompanied DofE students, and I have to say that the facilities on the site remain excellent.
There was a warm greeting on arrival, with clear instructions of the site, plenty of pitching room. Spacious and clean shower cubicles, all free of charge, including hairdryers and lots of pot wash areas.
The site provides a fridge and freezer, which was great, but was abused by other campers putting their, seemingly, weekly shopping in. I hope to return again soon.
Best campsite ever!
Small Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 Stayed at a lot of campsites in my time and this one stands out!
The multiple facilities of toilets, showers and washing up areas were all great and clean. The peacocks wandering around and the alpacas was magical, with lovely walking trails and multiple fields open to explore.
The staff were amazing, a lovely lady helped us at reception as we had a hardstanding campervan pitch and a tent pitch booked, and she helped us be set up next to each other. There were lots of bins about and water taps.
Local pubs: The Druid Inn only served sausage rolls and pub snacks, and the other pub (Red Lion) is only open Thursday to Sunday which unfortunately didn't match up with our stay. Plus, on site there was a pizza van and a breakfast butty van that's also open on the weekend. So I imagine staying later on in the week is even better than what we got to experience.
Overall, loved this campsite!
