Peaceful and quiet
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 So we went with the family to stay and whilst there is a park and a shop and pub a short walk away, that is it. So, if like us, there is a family and you plan on just staying in the park then check the weather.
As we took our dogs with us, we were limited to stay on the park. Then it rained, so after a short walk to the shop in Aderholt, we were confined to the tent all day. Difficult, as we had the dogs and 3 kids. There was a takeaway on site (Thai) so we were okay with that and there is also a shop that sells basic bits, although £3 for a hot chocolate was quite pricey in my opinion. There are things to do a short car journey away though. As we are fairly local, it was just convenient.
I probably would not stay there again as on site, it's very limited. But a nice stay, even though we had to leave a day early as the wife was unwell.

It is a quieter park and many people come here because of that. We don't charge for pools, etc, which not everyone wants. I know some families went to nearby Moors Valley Country Park where dogs are welcome and the trees, huge wood climbing structures and café provided some shelter from the rain.
There's also an indoor inflatable play area in Salisbury which is fun for a rainy day and not too far.
We hope your wife is feeling better.

Great campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night.
Lovely site, very clean. Toilet/shower blocks are very modern and well-maintained. Good size pitches. Handy little onsite shop. Delicious onsite Thai takeaway, which is very reasonably priced
Will definitely return.

Great campsite
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 Stayed here for two nights and will be returning. Lovely site, great fully serviced pitch and a lovely dog walk, highly recommend.

Good place for a relax
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Hut (Dog Friendly) Jul 2023 The site was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. I am pleased I chose the Hill Cottage Camping and Caravan Park.

Superb campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Lovely site, beautifully presented, with a site shop and also a little DVD /book/magazine library.
The toilets and showers are spotless, although there aren't many, but we didn't experience any issues.
The best thing is that there is a Thai takeaway on site! Superb.

Fabulous site
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 What a fabulous, peaceful site! The facilities are spotless, staff friendly & helpful and the pitches are large and very well kept.
Really enjoyed the Thai takeaway as well.
Nothing not to like about this site - would highly recommend.

Our stay
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 We had a serviced pitch, it was empress as was every other services pitch. All we could hear throughout the day was birdsong and an occasional horse winning. We have never been to such a restful site, completely away from the hustle and bustle.

Little gem
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 We loved this park! First time visiting but won't be the last. It was quiet and very clean. All members of staff were very helpful. The gates open via ANPR which was good as we realised it would be secure.
