First Family Camping Trip Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Sal is incredibly welcoming and keeps the site and facilities spotless, even when we were the only family there. The site has plenty of space for children to play, with a short walk to Blakeney (or drive to a free car park) where there is a playground and plenty of opportunity to do some crabbing to keep the kids entertained locally.
We had a great time and will definitely be looking to go back in the future.
Site's response
Thank you for your kind review Tom and I hope you come back again in the future.
Dorothy's house Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Great place to stay and visit tourist attractions around the north Norfolk coastline even on a windy day!
What a lovely Camp Site Recommends site
Roof Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We spent two nights here and absolutely loved the location, loved the facilities & were very grateful for the assistance from the site owner Sal in giving us options of where to pitch our big tent.
We arrived late Friday afternoon in some of the heaviest rain we’d seen for months, so we knew pitching the tent would be challenging, and we certainly thought twice about it! Luckily though the rain eased and we set up on pitch 4 in quick time before settling in for the night.
We awoke on the Saturday to glorious sunshine and experienced this camp site at its very best.
Facilities were excellent and clean, good showers, easy access, and water point & washing up point are all in the same area, which is very handy.
We enjoyed star gazing at the camp site by night, and visited Sheringham, Cromer, Wells and Holkham nature reserve for the amazing beaches during the day.
Fish and Chips, Ice Cream & Cromer Crab. Happy Days!
It was only a couple of nights for us, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we’d definitely return.
Thank you Sal, and 10/10 for Galley Hill Farm Camping .👌
Fantastic Campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Had a fantastic stay. Sal was really friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and very well maintained. The campsite is in an excellent location and only a 20 minute walk into Blakeney, with easy access to the coast paths and nature reserves.

Brilliant Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Galley Hill Farm is a brilliant place. It’s basic but that’s what we wanted; spotlessly clean (Sal the owner cleans at least three times a day), small (and hence has the personal touch), quiet (everyone is very respectful of not disturbing other campers) and, as there are never many campers in the field, tents are really well-spaced. There were some amazing sunsets and sunrises when we were there. It’s near enough to Blakeny that you can walk there. It’s a short drive from nature reserves, stately homes, beautiful gardens and some lovely shops in the north of Norfolk. Seal watching was brilliant (about 45 min walk away). And there are lots of deserted beaches nearby. Unless you’re after an all-singing all-dancing type of self-contained campsite, I’m not sure what else you’d want.

Thank you for your kind comments Edward and for coming back to camp with us again. We do see some spectacular sunsets here. I hope to see you again in the future.

Clean, friendly and well located Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This campsite has a friendly owner who you can tell takes great pride in the campsite.
The toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, and toilet paper is well stocked. As a small campsite the facilties are plenty.
The campsite is well located, only a 5 minute drive to Blakeney and a 15-20 minute drive to Wells-Next-To-The-Sea.
The sunset and sunrise location is perfect. You are surrounded by countryside and we had the pleasure of seeing the crops cut.
The pitches are a generous size. We had a large tent and had plenty of space.
We are already planning a return!
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing campsite this is perfect.
(Excuse the scribble on the set up picture. Just trying to keep privacy)
Site's response

First time camping Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Stayed 2 nights at this site. First time camping.
When we arrived Sal was very welcoming from the off, explaining where we were to pitch and asked if I had any questions. Also spoke to Sal during the stay, always friendly and offered to recommendations where to eat, go etc.
Small site with a mix of pitches, our pitch was non-electric, but by the road, which was far busier and nosier than we had expected. However, apart from that and the odd air force flight overhead, the location is idyllic. Sunsets can be seen over the sea from near to the shower facilities, with most of the site gathering there to witness a spectacular sunset. Quiet and respectful campers when we were there, some friendly but as we all want to do sometimes, some kept themselves to themselves.
15 to 20 min walk from site along road to Blakeney. First part is on actual road so have to be careful and not ideal for families. Second part is on path so a lot safer. Just at night, this would be a scary walk so this is why we have scored location a 4. If you don't want to use your car and walk, then this is the downside. There is a great opportunity for this campsite to be linked by a new footpath to an existing footpath to the east (part of Blakeney Circular), which would remove any need to walk on the road. One for the future?
Loved our experiences, we have learnt a lot and that will carry forward to other trips. Thanks Sal for your hospitality.
Site's response
Thank you for your comprehensive and constructive review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and got to see some stunning sunsets.
The B1156 can be busy, especially during peak holiday season.
Unfortunately, making new footpaths is not something that is viable or affordable for us at present, although I completely understand that walking on the verge/road is not ideal.
There is currently free car parking available at the village hall.
I hope you have many more enjoyable camping trips in the future and wish you all the best.
Midweek break Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Had a great midweek break Galley Hall Farm .
Very peaceful place to stay

Site's response
Thank you for your kind review Kevin.
We are located near a road so there is some noise from the traffic.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and I hope to see you again one day.
Really lovely campsite with great views of the marsh Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Sal was amazing and answered all my queries.
She was there when we arrived to make sure everything was ok and was on call whenever we needed. Facilities were just what we needed and the campsite was really well spaced out.
It was great to have view over the marshes and the walk in to Blakeney was short and not too bad, as the road wasn't too busy.
All in all, a great experience and we would definitely go again x

Great site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Really handy site for coastal hopper Blakeney bus stop. We used this for the return leg of our Blakeney to wells & Blakeney to Cromer coast walks.
Quiet, good toilets/showers/ washing up - lovely owner.

In a beautiful location, very close to my favourite the beaches..

Great location Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 It was a great location and a very nice site, with mostly flat areas to pitch a tent.
The only thing I found a bit annoying was there was no socket in the bath/toilet area to plug in a hair dryer or straighteners.
Site's response
Thank you for your review Ann. We advertise as a basic simple, traditional campsite. There are some electric pitches, but non electric pitches obviously are back to nature.
I'm sorry you found this annoying.
Another Excellent Stay Recommends site
Camping Pod - Camping Pod Jul 2026 Sal is an amazing host. The pod is simple yet throughly comfortable once you have your airbeds and pillows in. Excellent location. Thoroughly recommended.
Site's response
Many thanks for your kind review Ian. I'm glad our basic pod met your needs and you enjoyed your stay. The pod is unfurnished, giving guests the opportunity to bring their own camp or airbed and bedding. I consider it camping not glamping and means it is more affordable. Blakeney is a beautiful village and we are so lucky to live here and share it with others. Hope to see you again. Wishing you all the best.
Amazing time! Recommends site

Quiet and beautiful site in a great location Recommends site
Backpacker Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 I’ve camped here a few times now, either June or September, and it’s almost always quiet and a great location for the north norfolk coast, walking and wildlife watching. I come with my tent on the train and coasthopper bus and I like the quiet and the proximity to the coast path and a few shops and pubs in Blakeney. The facilities are simple but always spotlessly clean and Sal is a lovely host. I’ll be back!
Site's response
Always a pleasure having you stay at the campsite Emma. Thank you for your review. Hope to see you again soon.
Lovely site just outside Blakeney Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Lovely, peaceful, smalllish site 20 minutes stroll from beautiful Blakeney with its nice pubs, cafes and walks across the salt marshes. Also within easy driving distance of seal watching trips from Morston
Quay, and various lovely beaches, towns and villages along the Norfolk coast.
Sal the owner is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and well maintained
Site's response
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay on the campsite. Blakeney is a beautiful village with lots to offer visitors. Thank you for your kind comments and hope to see you again in the future.
