Beautiful site and very convenient for Bala and Llyn Tegid.
VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (10m) Oct 2026 Immaculately laid out and maintained site with clearly demarcated plots set in a pretty location. Easy, level walk into Bala (about a 10 minute stroll) and the lake is even closer. Shower and toilet block is again beautifully maintained and modern with spacious shower cubicles which are free to use. I would happily stay here again. Diolch.

Fabulous site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (7m) Oct 2026 Staff very friendly and helpful, nice little shop with essential food stuffs and camping gear, even gas on site. Wash block one of the very best, clean and well laid out including little personal washrooms as well as great shower, toilets, washing up facilities and even a laundry. Great location short walk from lake B
but nearby Llangollen was great.

Amazing Site
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (9m) Oct 2026 What an absolute gem this site is. Just spent a weekend here in our go pod. Our son and his family also stayed in their tent and the admin team booked us in opposite each other.
The site is immaculate and the facilities are some of the best I have ever seen, absolutely spotless.
Our pitches were perfectly flat as were all of the others.
We had a walk in to Bala on the Saturday grabbing a few beers and food in the Autumn sunshine.
We will definitely be returning to this amazing site.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2026 Ideal location for the lake and paddleboarding. Facilities are modern, clean, and warm with toiletries in the showers and on the wash basins. Gotta say it's the best one we've stayed on this season

Lovely few days at Pen y Bont touring park,
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (8m) Sep 2026 The park is well kept, spotless, the toilets and showers were great , the washing up area was also spotless, we didnt use the laundry room .The Reception lady was very welcoming , we have a campervan and the pitches were spacious with electric and water.
The campsite is about a ten minute walk to the area of the lake where you can paddleboard or do other water sports , you can hire or take your own, there is a £5 charge for using your own at a pay and display machine. There is a large carpark and a nice cafe as well as a sauna pod .
The high street with a few pubs and restaurants is about a ten minute walk, we had a lovely Sunday lunch at Plas yn Dre on the high street , the staff were great and the food was excellent.

Overall good - but a few observations
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (8m) Sep 2026 All round good but glamping pods caused noise issue (until 1pm) on Saturday night. Duty manager did ask them to be quiet but didn't resolve it. Would put me off returning on weekend.
Dog walking field is 1 1/2 miles away so not really practical for this site.

We’re sorry that the noise from the glamping pods on Saturday night affected your stay. Our Duty Manager did speak to the guests at the time, but we appreciate that this didn’t fully resolve the issue and understand how frustrating this must have been. We’ll certainly take your comments on board.
Thank you also for your feedback regarding the dog walking field. We appreciate that the 1½-mile distance isn’t ideal for everyone, particularly when staying with a dog, and we’re grateful for you highlighting this.
We hope that despite these issues, you might consider staying with us again, perhaps on a quieter weekday, and give us the opportunity to provide you with a more peaceful visit.

Great place Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitch (6m) Sep 2026 Lovely campsite with some of the best facilities I’ve seen. Easy walk into town and plenty of pubs and places to eat.

Roof Tent - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (10m) Aug 2026 Beautiful campsite, very clean, location 5min walk to Lake Bala with paddleboards, would highly recommend it, about an hour & 10mins drive from snowdonia. Will definately return to this site again.

Another great visit VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (6m) Aug 2026 Our second visit to Pen Y Bont and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great pitches and facilities which are kept clean by the staff. Close to Llyn Tegid for a dip which was needed due to the weather as well as Bala town. Would recommend.

Lovely 3 night stay
Shepherd's Hut - Belle Ensuite Shepherd's Hut with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Jul 2026 I took my 2 teenage daughters for a 3 night glamping stay.
We stayed in the Belle hut. It was beautiful. Had everything we needed for our 3 nights.
The hot tub was an added bonus. The only thing I would say about the hot tub is, although we only used it for a couple of hours in and out on the first night, the water was a bit murky and smelly after, so we didn't use it again.
The location was great as we took our paddle board with us. Although we drive down to Bala Lake as the paddle board and items were heavy and too much to carry, it's about a 20 minute walk to the water front where you get your permit from. Parking was £5 for 4 hours. Although it was very windy and choppy, we did have a good time on the lake, paddle boarding and swimming.
On our last evening we went for a meal in town, a bistro called Y Cyfnod. It was delicious and I would recommend. Overall, we had a lovely 3 night stay with the luxury of a ready made shepherd's hut with its own shower and toilet 👌🏼
I would stay here again without a doubt, maybe if we could use some chlorine overnight in the hot tub?

Amazing site
Roof Tent - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (10m) Jul 2026 There is absolutely nothing to fault from our points of view. It is the best camping site we have stayed at. The people running it are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything is being kept neat, tidy and clean - including the bathroom building. Really great place to return to, indeed!

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2026 Excellent site and facilities. Very relaxed and quiet. Easy walk into Bala. We were camping and the ground can be a little stony, but no problem for tent nails.
Highly recommended.
