Amazing

I had to leave a review for this fantastic campsite. Last minute tip for me and my children, and just wow. The owners are so incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The site is so clean and tidy. Toilets, showers, cleaning faculties, bin area and laundry room are regularly checked and kept so clean. Has all the facilities you need and more. Ideal location with so much to do locally. Can’t thank the staff enough and we will definitely be returning! My children thoroughly enjoyed it too. Thank you!

Fantastic stay, 100% recommend

My first solo camping trip completed at the wonderful Llys Derwen campsite. I booked last minute as I spontaneously decided I wanted to climb snowdon. This campsite was a perfect location for this as it was less than a 10 minute drive to the Llanberis path. Which is the route I took to climb snowdon for sunrise. The facilities were great, very clean, and accommodating. The staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. I couldn’t recommend this campsite enough! Definitely made me want to solo camp again!

Great camp site

Stayed for 2 nights with family, Nathan greeted us with lots of info and showed us to our pitch. What a lovely campsite, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Excellent!

A lovely, small campsite with very clean facilities. Nathan is a really nice, friendly guy who will go out of his way to chat and give you some insight into nice places to go and information about the local area. 5mins walk to local pub, Coop 10mins walk away and Morrisons in Caernarfon is a 10 min drive away. So much to see and do within a 30 minute drive. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

2 night break

What a gem of a find for us, excellent camp site, 10 mins either way to Caernarfon and Llanberis respectively, Nathen, who booked us in can't do enough to make sure your stay is the best, the toilets and showers are spotless and to cap it all if you fancy not cooking there is a pub 5 minutes walk from the site entrance, we will be back

Lovely well run site

Llys Derwen is a well run family owned site that is very welcoming. There are some mature trees around the edges of the camping fields which were much needed in the heatwave. Nathan is around on site a lot to help with anything and he maintains a good atmosphere on the site including the quiet after 10pm policy. This is not a party campsite. Lots of families and couples. There’s a separate fenced off field to exercise your dog which is really needed and spacious. We visited the site at peak time in the school holidays so the facilities were very busy which is to be expected. Best to choose a non-peak time to shower. Location gives you access to Anglesey, Snowdonia and the west coast so it’s very well positioned. Round recommend this site. Thanks to the owners for a great few days.

Excellent campsite

This is a superb location and campsite. We received a very warm welcome. Spotlessly clean. Visited the local pub 5 mins away and food was excellent. Bus service was great into Caernarfon and Llanberis. We will return.

Excellent campsite

What a wonderful site , so clean and tidy we were made to feel very welcome by the staff who was always on hand and very knowledgeable, they also worked enthusiastically on everything they did to keep the site well maintained, the pitch sizes are very spacious. If we're ever back up in the foot hills of Snowdonia we we will return here

Just a perfect place to camp. Would happily stay here and again. Sadly, I live across the ocean so I won't be able to, so who ever might read this will have to stay here for me.

Highly recommend stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights, and did snowdon one of the days, the campsite is very near to the mountain depending on what route you want to do. We did watkin and it was only about a 30 minute drive but does not feel long at all with all the views you pass on the drive. The facilities like the showers & toilets are excellent and always very clean, there is also a wash up area for your dishes, and a laundry room. There is also WiFi and you are able to charge your devices in the office/reception if needs be. The owner was very welcoming & friendly. Quiet, everybody is respectful, and you will definitely enjoy your stay here!

Fantastic from the start.

As the title says, our stay here was great from the start. Nathan couldn’t do enough for us. Fantastic, clean facilities on a well Maintained site. Great location for exploring the local area with a proper local pub just down the road. We will be returning.

Outstanding campsite!

Where do I begin? This is quite literally how every good story begins! We only stayed for one night and to say we regret not staying longer is an understatement! To start off, the cleanliness of this campsite is impeccable! As soon as you drive in, you can just sense its going to be a good stay! Nathan was ever so lovely and helpful with our last minute booking and late entry due to being first time motorhome users, he we was very polite and hospitable. He showed us how to use everything and if we had any questions to just message, not once did we feel like a burden with the million questions we had for him! He also printed us a sheet of places we can visit in the area which we went to one and it was a very good recommendation. As we left, we felt like we had known him for a long time because of his approachable and friendly character. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to go and stay here! Thank you again! We cant wait to be back, we are already planning our next trip!

Lovely, lovely place to stay

Llys Derwen turned out to be the perfect spot for our stay in Wales. The site is very nicely laid out, with all the facilities you could want. The standard of showers, toilets, etc is extremely high and very well maintained. With Snowdon, Anglesey, Caernarfon all about 10-15 minutes drive away, it was perfectly located for us. The owner Nathan was very friendly and helpful and always around the site organising his team. A lovely site, in a beautiful location made our little holiday just perfect.

Fantastic site!

Great campsite, great location for Yr Wyddfa (we will definitely do this next time) and Llanberis (we went paddle boarding). Nathan is such a welcoming and friendly guy - he never stops! Spotlessly clean shower blocks and toilets, free Wi-Fi, what's not to like? Lovely and peaceful surroundings with no noise at night and you can see beautiful sunsets. The grounds are perfectly maintained and in reception, you can get an ice cream and some local honey. We will be back :)

Weekend stay

Nathan was very friendly and helpful. Site is conveniently located for Snowdon, Bangor, Caernarvon, Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Short walk into Lanrug which has Co-op, fish and chip shop and good pub serving nice food. Site was quiet at night, no problem sleeping.
