Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Motorhome and Campervan PitchesApr 2023

We have just had a lovely bank holiday weekend break at Little Acre. Lovely views and sunsets visible from the site, nice touches of comfort in the showers with shampoos, nail files and cotton buds etc and it will be even better when the new larger shower block is finished. This site is adjacent to a canal so we did a couple of lovely long walks and my partner got a couple of early morning runs in too. There is a fab pub/restaurant/hotel directly across the road. Finally with a bus stop outside the gates to take you to Kendal or Kirby Lonsdale; this is a great site in a great location with great hosts. Highly recommended.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2023

I did sail past the turn off for Little Acre, if there is a sign I did not see it, so for the likes of me, it would be great to have one just before the bridge, nice and large. Our pitch was nice and level, but there were some which were not. Overall it was friendly and very clean. I was not sure which bit of grass belonged to our pitch, maybe that could be clarified. I would have appreciated a place where there were leaflets, a bus timetable etc and also a book swap. I realise this is very picky and I presume that when the new facilities are ready then there will be more space for these things. The facilities were very warm and immaculate with nice little touches such as hand cream. Also body wash, shampoo and conditioner were supplied in the shower. The bus stop for Kendal or Kirby Lonsdale is a 2 minute walk away. The Lancaster Canal is even nearer, which is great for walking. The Crooklands Hotel is also a 2 minute walk, but far enough that you cannot hear traffic noise or any other noise from the site. Hopefully we will be returning later on this year.

Site's response

Thank you for your lovely review and recommendation, Pauline. When you come next time, I'll be sure to point out which grass goes to which pitch for you! :) Yes, you're absolutely spot on about the leaflets, bus timetable and noticeboard being incorporated prominently in the shower, loo and laundry block that is currently being built - we had one in the retired "old block" and I know how appreciated they were by folk. They should all be in place when you return. Paul p.s we aren't allowed to put a sign on the Highways Agency's road signs, but we do have one outside the Holiday Park and I also send directions to the pitch on every confirmation via email.
