Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2022

Fabulous location on the canal, near a bus stop with pub/hotel across the road. Even better now freshly cooked pizzas are available on Fridays. The site was, as ever, clean and tidy and the owners really helpful. Site could do with a couple more showers, but that is the only slight moan we have. We will be returning soon.

Site's response

Hi Pat, Thank you for your returning visit and I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay (again !) We've recently had planning permission passed for a new and enlarged shower & loo block (plus laundry facilities and additional washup sinks) and this should be in place for the 2023 season, which will make things easier all round. VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Small PitchMay 2022

The camp was well kept and very clean. Shower and toilet block was clean and well stocked with cotton buds, nail files, body wash etc. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

Site's response

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitch - Slight SlopeMay 2022

A small site conveniently positioned to M6. Clean facilities and hot water. Showers need 20p coins. Pitch 7 is too close to the waste disposal area. We were fortunate another pitch was free, and the owner kindly offered it to us.

Site's response

Thank you for the review, Colin. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stopover with us. Paul.

Nice little site

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Campervan PitchMay 2022

This is a nice little site close to the M6. It's next to the Lancaster canal with a nice pub/restaurant across the road (the food is very nice). There's not really much else to do close by and the nearest main town is Kendal. The staff are very friendly and the showers are good. It's a handy site if you want to do a little canoeing on the canal.

Site's response

Hello Roy. Thank you for your review and recommendation. I'm surprised at your 3* recommendation for the location as we're 1 mile from the J36 on the M6, 20ft from the Lancaster Canal for stretching your legs and the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are an easy 15min drive away. All things that other visitors tell me are absolutely ideal for them. Little Acre is a quiet site in a rural location and I can appreciate that some people would enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy site, that is maybe on the outskirts of a large town instead. Paul.
