Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

Beautiful campsite. Peaceful and idyllic. River runs right alongside, in which you can hire canoes. The pitch was a generous size and well kept, a bench is provided for each pitch, which is so handy. Trolleys to take your belongings from the car to the pitch is such a thoughtful (and easier) addition. Spacious site, where each group can enjoy their time there and not be bothered by other campers. The facilities were just what you needed and were kept clean. The owner was very attentive and made sure we had everything we need, she trollied 2 bags of logs over to our pitch in the rain! Our group of friends + 1 dog had a lovely holiday. Overall, wonderful campsite and will definitely be returning.

Beautiful slice of paradise

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

Such a well maintained site with excellent showers and toilet blocks. Personal pitch areas is a lovely touch and, from booking to leaving, Sarah was a great host. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's HutJun 2022

A cosy, comfortable shepherd's hut in its own generous space, with a fire pit and wood provided for outdoor cooking. Dog friendly, unlike so many glamping options, in a spacious field by the river. All the amenities provided in the hut were thoughtfully anticipated for the guests needs, right down to the woolly blanket and cotton bedding - the massive pull out bed was so comfy. Although the site was busy, with some large male groups, it was never noisy because the camps were so well spaced, and as a lone female camper I felt safe at all times. Access to the camp is not particularly easy, down a long rough track, so is best for people who want to enjoy the camping experience rather than go out and about in the evening. There were really no negatives, just a couple of niggles. A little fridge in the hut instead of a cool box would have been wonderful. And although there is a separate clearly marked loo and shower for the hut, these were used by other campers, who often left the loo dirty - maybe either key access or moving their location?
