Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 First time we'd visited and it was lovely. Exceptionally clean and numerous facilities, friendly & helpful staff and a beautiful location. We were at the top of the site which was in the trees & full of bats at night.
River swimming was the icing on the cake 👌

The shop onsite had all you need, really good for site and a bonus with washing facilities, fishing and a take away hut.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Site is ran by a decent fella with a shop on site that sells all sorts. Coffee trailer in the morning with food to buy as well.
Near a co-op and pubs within walking distance. Pitches are a generous size, all facilities onsite are clean and maintained. Would recommend!

Lovely river beach 5 min walk from campsite. Lots of stuff to do nearby.
Very chilled atmosphere and a small park to keep the kids entertained.

Site immaculate n was camped up at rivers edge….absolutely beautiful. Such a tranquil n peaceful location.
Showers/ toilets absolutely spotless, so was the full site. Nothing negative to say at all. Have booked it again it was that good 😊

Good place, clean but busy
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025 We had a great weekend at the campsite. The facilities were clean and easy to use.
The breakfast van with rolls is super convenient and there was a pizza van on the Saturday as well.
My only dislike were how small the pitches were, which felt we were sat too close from each other with little privacy. The campsite was also quite noisy until late at night with music and people shouting.
But overall, well located near the River Forth and 5 mins drive from Aberfoyle.

The site is beautiful with trees around and a river. It is nice and quiet and the facilities are up to standards.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Manager was very helpful and cheery, on request he relocated us to a pitch beside the river which was very nice.
Toilets and showers a bit spread out for my liking, but now I'm just being picky. Shame about the terrible weather on our second day which spoilt things a bit. I would certainly use this site again.
One tent, one night
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 We stayed overnight in a small tent. We had a space to park our car next to our tent on the grass.
It was a Saturday in June and each spot was full. There were a lot of families, many dogs, so it was full of life, perhaps not somewhere to come to have some quiet but great for groups.
There were multiple showers with hot water, a laundry room (which you had to pay in cash to use - we were able to have cash back) with a washing machine, tumble dryer and airer - there was also a clothes pole outside to hang clothes on. There were outdoor sinks; multiple toilets and everything was spotless.
The shop had items such as plasters, midge spray, postcards etc. There was a pizza stand making fresh pizzas at night, and in the morning a coffee/tea hut which also sold breakfast food such as pastries, sausage / bacon rolls etc...
Overall a wonderful stop-off that we'd feel comfortable and happy to stay at again. :)

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the toilets and showers were good and very clean.

Peaceful and stunning location. Great facilities. Coffee can and sauna makes it extra special.

Up and coming site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 A real up and coming site. Different layers to the site so it's huge, but it doesn't feel it. Main toilet facilities are tired. Small huts for toilets and showers around the site are stunning, but absurd they were closed all morning for cleaning. Tried them for showers at 8:00 and still locked at 10:30. Can't understand the rationale behind this.
Coffee hut, pizza, warm welcome. There's lots to love. Maybe define the pitch types - forest pitch or valley pitch.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Everything was totally lovely. The reason for the mark down on facilities was because even though they were great & plenty of them, the shower block nearest us wasn't performing.

Good location
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 This site is great for exploring around Aberfoyle. There is a cycle route and footpath through the woods to the town. We went into the town on a Saturday and it had a Co-op, and plenty of gift and coffee shops.
The campsite facilities are kept spotlessly clean, it would be helpful to have a mat in the shower cubicles as you end up standing in a puddle caused by drips from the shower screen when you are trying to get dry and dressed.
Overall a very good site.
