I fully recommend Tobacconist Farm. It's a fabulous adult only campsite. Pitches are spacious, not all crammed together. Spotless showers, toilets and washing up facilities. Lucy (owner) is amazing, very helpful and accommodating.
Great campsite!

Amazing little campsite, adults-only so very peaceful and quiet. Most spacious pitches I have ever seen on a site! The toilet block is well-designed and kept immaculate. Short walk into a lovely village with a general stores and a couple of pubs and cafes to eat in. The moor is easily accessible for longer walks and other pubs. The little wooded area for dog walking is great and the two donkeys are lovely, always coming to say hello!

Fab stay at a lovely quiet campsite 2 mins walk into Minchinhampton. Lucy friendly and helpful, facilities were spotless and pitches large and spaced out. Will definitely return.

Our first visit. A warm welcome by Lucy and very informative. Lovely large secluded pitch with electric hook up, picnic table and own water supply. Showers and toilets excellent - clean and plentiful. Adults only. A really nice site, very quiet and only a 5 minutes walk to the lovely village of Michinhampton with good pub and cafes. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights in August with our dog. Borrowed our daughter's caravan and it was first time we had towed a caravan so complete novices! The campsite was great. Very clean showers and washing area. Lucy was lovely and made us very welcome. Cannot fault the facilities and Ted the Dog enjoyed the dog walking area. Spacious pitches with electricity and water tap by our pitch. Minchinhampton was a lovely place to stay with a short walk to the village, local shops and pub. Would definitely recommend others to stay here and enjoy the surrounding area.

Great location, able to walk into the village which has a well-stocked store, 2 cafes and a good pub. Great centre for walking or trips further afield. We had a good day in Slimbridge WWT. Lovely clean site with a nice warm kitchen, fridge-freezer, washing machine and drying facilities. Individual bathrooms are a nice touch.
Excellent site, not our first time there!

Lucy runs a very nice site with super clean facilities. Fully serviced pitches too. It's walking distance to a village with an excellent pub - the Crown which serves great food in a friendly atmosphere! The site is located close to the village, if you have a large caravan or motorhome, be careful when coming down the Butts as it is quite tight. We will definitely be going there again!

I've stayed here with both and motorhome and a tent. Fabulous campsite. Loads of green space because extra cars are kept off site and the owner only allows a certain number of units on site, quality over quantity is key. Toilet/shower facilities are excellent, bins, chemical waste disposal etc. Fire pits available with wood and firelighters for a small price. Close to town with a butcher, grocer store, pub, coffee/cake shop and post office all within 10 mins walking distance.

Fabulous campsite! The grounds are beautifully kept, facilities are clean and have everything you'd need. Great pubs, and a lovely café a short walk away, and you get the sun all evening on site! Fire pits and wood available on site, Lucy was an excellent host, we hope to stay again soon!

We had a pitch down near the showers/toilets which was great, but none of the pitches are any great distance away. A lovely welcome from Lucy on arrival and her son was friendly and delivered logs for the fire pit. The only slight complaint is that the showers, although perfectly acceptable, could have been a little bit hotter. But this wouldn't stop us coming again.

A great campsite with the cleanest facilities found anywhere. Lucy is great as a host and works flat out to ensure that the site is ready for you, and everything is in order. It was nice to be a short walk from a pub, butcher, chemist and shop. There were lots of great walks all around and fire pits available

A warm welcome on arrival, perfect weather, walking and cycling on your doorstep, local shop and pubs within walking distance, everyone was very welcome, scenery was stunning. Golf course nearby and cattle and horses wondering freely on the common. Travelled south for more of a guarantee of nice weather and we weren't disappointed temps. Reached late 20s and still warm on an evening, no jumper required. There was a fridge and freezer, washing machine and outside clothes dryer, all great added extras to make camping and campervanning more comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely site. Lucy was very helpful and even coerced some poor guy to help me put up my air tent as I was a beginner! Facilities were spotless and in a very beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Will definitely be returning, thank you Lucy. 😉❤️

As a solo (female) camper I felt safe here. There was plenty of space, and it was very peaceful. Basic but well maintained facilities. No views except fields from the campsite itself, but an easy walk to a very pretty Cotswold village with café, shop, etc and to the common. Communication a little patchy (though totally appreciate they're busy), and pricing higher than average for tents. Overall, a good place to stay while visiting this area.
Site's response
Frances, Good to know you felt safe but I'm sorry you didn't think it was value for money! I even refunded you £25 when your friends couldn't camp, which I had absolutely no obligation to do!

I've travelled all over the world, but without doubt, Tobacconist Farm has to be the most relaxing and scenic location. . The owners Will and his assistant Lucy 🙂, were both professional, caring and courteous. I strongly recommend a visit here.

We missed the notices upon arrival asking us to call. This was due to avoiding other cars going in and out of the site, so our error. However, the site owner attitude to us for doing this was confrontational. Didn't set us off to a good start. Nice site, but a housing estate just across the field and not the rural views we thought we would be getting.
Site's response
Please let me be clear, I have a banner on the gate, four signs and sent you a text in the morning. You ignored all! Drove 300m onto my campsite and pitched where you wanted. I'd been waiting for you all afternoon and I'm glad you found me abrupt because I found you rude.

Great little campsite in the heart of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, perfectly situated close to all the amenities in Minchinhampton. The campsite was quiet in the evenings and some of the grass bays are naturally 'fenced' with banks of wildflowers. The facilities for washing and showering are wonderfully spacious. Well placed for walks without the car, I recommend the circular walk from the site to Rodborough Hill Fort, don't forget to take in Winstone's Ice Cream Parlour on the way. Local pubs in Minchinhampton serve great food and beer. Can recommend Henry's Cafe for Coffee and breakfast. Don't think there is any Wi-Fi on site but the 4G service is pretty good. Will definitely come again.

Excellent position for good walks from site over amazing commons. Good pub with meals (perhaps slightly expensive) with good shop and cafe in village only ten minutes walk from site. Couldn't fault the on site facilities, in fact, up with the very best.

The site is just so lovely, pitches are a decent size and private. Lucy and her son Will were great hosts. Toilets and showers are immaculate and enough room to actually dry off and get changed. Walking distance to the village. The pub, chippy and Henrys cafe were fab too. If I was to design a site this would be it!

A fantastic site, very welcoming. An easy walk into town or lovely country walk to Ragged Cot or the common. Our dogs loved it and we were all made to feel at home. The fire pits provided were a lovely touch, very clean toilet blocks and good facilities. Many thanks for a wonderful weekend Lucy!
