A safe haven on a cold wintry weekend

Love the toilet/shower blocks. Nice and warm with Elvis on the radio! Our late arrival was straight forward, we navigated the barrier and found our pitch easily. The site is quite close to the Dersingham bypass, so there was some traffic noise but apart from that very good.

Short stay in a glamping pod

We had a lovely stay at Pinecones. The glamping pod is a good size with all the cooking facilities as advertised and plenty of plug sockets too. Is also very close to the shower blocks which are to a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Friendly staff made us feel so welcome and the location enabled us to explore Norfolk at leisure. Will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic 4 night stay

Our first Christmas away in Bessie. It was absolutely fantastic and ticked all the boxes for us.

Excellent in all aspects

We stay in many campsites and this one is one of the best we have encountered. Facilities are excellent (shower and toilet facilities were really good), pitch good size & the picnic hut with heaters were a game changer as we visited late November. A short stroll to Dersingham which had shops/pubs & walking distance to Sandringham.

Our stay

A very quiet and peaceful site. Friendly staff and the bar onsite is handy if you have no additional transport. I was a bit disappointed that there was no breakfast served, even though there was still a sign outside. Enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Great location

Small site, by a busy road, but that doesn't bother us. Didn't really notice the sound of the traffic. Friendly and helpful staff, they even put the oven back on when we were late for breakfast. They handed out good information of what is close by and they had bikes you could hire. The shower blocks were very clean and the water was very warm/hot, all had large radiators which kept the cubical very warm, particularly this time of year when it was -3 degrees. Great spot for a short stay.

Breckland next to Sandringham and the sea

Pleasantly surprised by great facilities, surrounded by some interesting walks.

Mid week stop

The site was easy to find and self check in was simple, pitch size was more than ample and a nice touch was outside seating. Shower blocks and washing up area all adequate. Sadly Ben's bar was closed for our stay and the site shop was poorly stocked. After reading other reviews, I would agree that if you are looking for a totally peaceful stay, this is not the site for you as traffic noise from a149 is apparent and difficult to ignore. Easy walking distance to Sandringham with other walks close by .

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you found the pitch sizes were of a nice size and that you liked the seating outside. We only stock what we think is what necessary in the shop as the Co op is only a 10 minute walk from the site. Unfortunately, as described, we are by the A149 bypass, although this does not bother many of our visitors, we do understand that it will affect some. Good stay

The location was, we feel, too close to the road, which wouldn't be an issue but the road was very busy. Everything else was really good. The owners were amazingly helpful and knowledgeable, as well as being bulldog owners like myself. A really needed break, and Shelby (my bulldog) had the best time, with the walks easily followed.

Good location

Nice showers, piping hot radiator and under floor heating, as well as radio music too! Very friendly staff. However, road noise and on site construction meant it felt under development and less restful than it could have been. Understandably, they've planned this for winter months though. Random illuminated fountains here and there were a bit odd! Slow food service in the bar. But overall, a fine stay.

Weekend break

Great location for walking to Sandringham estate. Map provided was very helpful, there was a lovely little bar onsite, and it was dog friendly. The food was good for when we arrived late to the site. Met the owners and who were very friendly. The dog washing facilities are useful. The bathroom facilities were very warm, clean and there was music playing. We will be returning.

A great park, very clean, a nice bar and good food on site. Clean showers and toilets, great for exploring Norfolk. Will be back, many thanks.

Family owned site

Easy site to get to, and there was plenty of room to park a large caravan on the flat pitches. It was nice to have individual washrooms with toilet shower and sink. The only criticism is the sink is lower for the disabled, but it was a back ache for my 6ft height. Good wi-fi and phone signal (very hard to get around the Norfolk coast).Very friendly and helpful staff. We will be back.

A lovely site with very nice staff who couldn't do enough for you to make your stay go smoothly. I would come back again.

Fabulous facilities

Just off the main road is this lovely site, with the best facilities I've experienced. A very friendly reception. Superb private shower rooms. Fully serviced weather pitches, with decent space between the pitches. Thank you.

Our first Campervan 2 night stay

Fantastic camp site. Clean, tidy, quite and very friendly staff. Really nice little pub/bar on site with a well stocked shop. We will definitely will visit again and bring our fellow camper buddies along for a longer stay. 10/10 guys! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First caravan experience

It was our first trip with a caravan and I have to say, it was a pleasant one. The staff were very helpful and even offered to help with our first set up. The toilet/shower cubicles were very clean and warn, we didn't use the bar but it looked inviting. Nice walk to Sandringham (the site provided maps of local walks) and would definitely stay again.

Dersingham

Have stayed at this site many times and never been disappointed. Just a short stroll to a bus stop, where buses run frequently. Great facilities as usual.

Short stay

Pinecones is a nice site close to Sandringham and the local beaches. We had a great few days, the weather was lovely. Our welcome on arrival was excellent, with great explanations regarding facilities, local walks. The amenities are good, although there was a drain smell in a couple of the toilet/shower rooms. Also, at peak times when the site was busy, I felt that there isn't really enough of those facilities for the number of full pitches. We really liked the site but it is close to a road. We knew this when we booked, but not knowing the area, we didn't realise just how busy the road is. We also felt that the pitches are quite close together our pitch (41) backed on to another pitch with just a small (broken) fence between us. Also, the pitches either side felt quite close compared to some sites we have visited. The picnic bench is a nice touch and came in handy. I can't comment on the bar or the takeaway as we didn't use them, although the bar and seating area looked very nice.
