Lovely site, well kept and close to a fabulous farm shop. Also close enough to walk to Saundersfoot, although it's steep on the way back, so fill up on ice cream or chips!

Absolutely fabulous place, clean and friendly. Will absolutely be returning, first time camping and can't wait to go again. High standard place and also noticed the owner there few times a day to make sure all was clean and stocked up, kids absolutely loved it here as well and didn't want to leave, thank you for a fabulous 4 days.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Brilliant, no hassle campsite. Sign in and out yourself, pitch up where you like. Good shared amenities such as washer/fridge etc. Nice facilities for children: football goal posts, tennis net (so bring balls and racquets), swing balls and a play park. There's an honesty station where you can scan a code to buy kindling, a logs (£6 a net) and a steel camp fire (£5 per day). The owner is efficient and keeps the place clean and tidy and makes sure the amenities are fully stocked and hygienic. The nobbly rendered walls in shower blocks and toilets are a bit sharp and in need of updating, but facilities are totally fine and of use. We really enjoyed our stay here - it is a short drive away to the beautiful coastal of Tenby and Saundersfoot - and Pembroke Castle, and we had a fantastic (£20 adult return) boat ride over to Caldey Island where there is beautiful walks, monastery and a beach is to die for. I recommend taking the kids for a beach day at Caldey Island, it's quiet beach with pure soft sand and clear waters is lovely. Recommend taking a picnic as there is a good café at the island but limited choice! We would gladly stay again at Crane Cross if we ever decide to visit the area again, it has much to offer and explore! Thank you.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Lovely campsite 10 mins from Tenby and beaches, 20 mins from Pembroke and castle. There is so much to do in this area and is 5 mins walk from a farmers market. The campsite itself is spacious, we didn't feel overlooked by other campers at all. We had an electric pitch which was in the field closest to the entrance but no road noise. The showers and toilet block are older but clean and functional. We always had hot water and never had a queue for the hairdryer plug! There is a large washing up area with liquid provided, and a fridge and freezer for campers to use along with battery bank hire. It even has a washing machine. The owner was nice and ran the site well. There is an area in the field with goals for children to play football and a net for tennis, and a play area and sandpit. The site was very quiet from around 10pm which was nice, no groups making noise etc! The sky is dark at night and perfect for stargazers! I would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely little site, basic but tidy facilities

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Perfect for a long weekend stay. Kids loved the play area and the showers and toilets although basic, were clean and well maintained. Saundersfoot is just a short drive away and we also spend a great Saturday in Barafundle Bay approx 30 mins away (highly recommend!) and Sunday in Amroth which was great for a bit of rock pooling and a nice coffee. Overall, I would recommend this site based on a family with kids under 5 for an easy few days away with great places to see nearby.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

A lovely campsite where you can decide where to pitch. Grass was very good for pegging out, although a mallet is handy. Mostly flat ground, well cut grass and no boggy areas that I could see. You need transport to get about a bit, although taxi's are possible. Close to Saundersfoot and Tenby etc. We visited Manorbier beach, which had a huge car park. Take coins for meter. £6 for all day, less for a few hours. 5 minute walk to the huge beach. Campsite had a communal fridge and freezer. Washing machines × 2. Five showers. All amenities very clean. Toilets & showers very clean. Close to a B road, but not too noisy. Noise from campers quietened after 10pm. Swings and sand pit etc for the kids. Yes, we would stay here again (from 2 over 60's couple).

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2025

Great little family friendly campsite. Nice little park and sandpit for the kids which went down well! Facilities are basic but clean and functional. The farm shop is a short walk away but Saundersfoot is a little further. The walk into Saundersfoot isn't great for kids really as there's no pavement in parts. The walk is fine for adults/older kids though. We got a taxi with the kids and dog costing £6 which we felt was worth it. Loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

Site's response

Thank you for staying at Crane Cross and leaving a review. We recommend that people walk to Saundersfoot via Hopshill Lane which is generally a quiet single track road. It's around a 30-40 minute walk downhill from us. This also puts you on to the bus route to Tenby from Saundersfoot. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

We've just returned from a 3-night stay & can honestly say, myself and 3 daughters had the best camping experience we've ever had! Site was perfectly clean & well maintained, pathways easily accessible & well lit to designated areas. Lovely play park for my youngest & power banks for my oldest. Rhian was so welcoming, even going home to get me a pump as mine had broken! We had the best time ever, definitely going to go back - thank you Rhian & Philip 😊

Site's response

We're glad you enjoyed! Thank you for booking and review. We were happy to assist with the air pump. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Lovely campsite with excellent access to really nice beaches and towns throughout Pembrokeshire. Owners, Phil and Rhian, take good care of the site and are really friendly and helpful. Cleaning is excellent and everything is well looked after, Phil even uses Andrex luxury toilet tissue in the loo's and supplies eco washing up liquid for the dishes. Toilets and showers were cleaned at least 3 or 4 times a day, we never experienced any poor conditions the whole week we stayed. Great children's play areas and equipment (we don't have young kids but could see how appreciated it was). Secure dog walking area, washing machines, free to use fridge and freezer to store food etc. People made great use of the fire pit hire with logs and kindling to buy on site. Overall, a great site with friendly people, well looked after and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or visit again. Thank you.

Well set up campsite

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Had a lovely stay at Crane Cross Camping. Lovely welcome message on the day of the arrival giving directions on where to set up. The site was well laid out with plenty of space. My daughter loved the small play park and there were plenty of kids entertained with the mini football goals. As per the reviews, the facilities are dated but don't let this put you off, they were kept really clean throughout our visit. Lovely hot showers and plenty of hooks, shelves and tables to leave belongings on. Nice little touches around the place too such as the bathroom soap, washing up liquid at the sinks and buckets and spades for the kids in the sand pit. You can rent a fire pit and also buy some kindling at the site. While camping is about getting away from it all, Wi-Fi is available but costly. It's £5 for 1 hour, £8 for 24 hours, £30 for a week on one device. Superb location for many attractions too.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

A lovely peaceful campsite all amenities provided are clean and well organised. The site situated in little groups of trees is very pretty and a perfect spot near to many beaches that can be explored. Tenby itself is only minutes away. It is peaceful and quiet due to the arrangement of couples and families only.

Site's response

Thank you for staying at Crane Cross, it's good to hear you liked what we had to offer.

I will definitely be returning here. Plenty of space. Very peaceful, Well kept grounds and facilities. There was a really well equipped play area for kids. We did bring our own fire pit but loved that you could borrow one if needed and plenty of logs and kindling available cheaper than in shops which came in handy as we had run out. In close proximity to Saundersfoot town, the beach and lots of places to visit. I'm not sure if it was the owner who greeted us on arrival but he was very friendly and welcoming.
