Thanks for a lovely stay. Enjoyed a quiet relaxing break in pretty countryside. Plenty of nice country and coastal walks nearby and easy access to Chichester. There’s a great pub - the Anchor - across the road that does fab food too.

We chose Bucket and Spade as it was close to where we had to return out motorhome the next day. The site was clean with everything we needed. We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our pitch with some recommendations for the local area. There was a regular bus service less than 5 mins walk taking us into Chichester.

What a beautiful well maintained site. All facilities really clean and the grounds excellent. Lovely walk for the dog direct from the back of the site into open country ground. The Anchor pub a short walk out the front. Communication with the owners was great. The site was really peaceful. Will definitely visit again.

Very good, quiet site

We have just returned home from a wonderful weekend in the gorgeous Rusty. Immaculate, peaceful, clean. A great base to explore. We all want to come back again. Thank you very much to our hosts. Loved watching the rabbits and birds of prey flying over too!

One of the Best!

This site is small but mighty! Cannot fault the.facilities, amongst the best I have seen, and the site is spotless. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Excellent bus link to Chichester and Selsey. Great local pub. Would totally recommend.

Lovely, well maintained, quiet site. Only drawback was the unisex showers/toilets. There were only two toilets with showers, plus one additional separate toilet.

Shepherd's Hut - Rusty Ensuite Shepherd's HutJul 2026

A huge thank you to Peter for making us feel so welcome. We received a helpful message on the day of our stay with all the information we needed to access the site and our accommodation, which made everything easy from the start. The site is immaculate, set in a beautiful, peaceful location just a short walk from The Anchor pub, with plenty of attractions and activities only a short drive away. We are a family of three and stayed in Rusty the Shepherd's Hut. It had its own private plot with a lovely little garden, complete with a table, chairs, and a bench, making it the perfect place to relax. The hut itself is fantastic, with a cleverly designed layout that makes excellent use of the space. It also has its own bathroom and is equipped with everything you could need, including towels, bedding, tea towels, and cleaning supplies. We made good use of the BBQ provided and spent a peaceful evening enjoying the beautiful surroundings, watching the sunset and the rabbits come out to play. This was the perfect family getaway, offering all the charm and atmosphere of camping but without the hassle or the hustle and bustle of a busy caravan park. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing glamping experience.

Small and friendly

Small, spacious site with plenty of room between the pitches, well located for Chichester & the coast. Great washrooms, some of the best I've ever seen on a campsite. Good to have a pub in walking distance. Only downside was lack of waste water disposal facilities - we were advised to throw ours into the hedge. A second washing up sink would have been useful. If you like small and friendly rather than large and busy, then this is the campsite for you.

Perfect place to stay.

Only stayed one night as passing through but was a lovely chilled site. Lovely and clean and not to big that just suits s chilled holiday. Pub less than 5 minutes up the road that serves lovely large portions of food. thankfully we only got 2 meals for 3 of us and still left. some. Would definitely recommend if you want a clean well maintained site but just want to chill

Great location, site was clean and extremely well maintained Shower facilities excellent and always clean.. It would have been great if a bigger fridge was available in the hut, and better cooling fans as it was extremely hot But all together an excellent stay

We had a great stay here. Hope on and off the bus for coastal days out. Bathrooms were clean Site was quiet We felt a bit put out that our van was right at the back. Therefore it didn’t get the benefit of evening sun However we had a lovely weekend The Anchor pub was a good boozer

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesMay 2026

A really lovely campsite, spotlessly clean & tidy,we had a very relaxed & enjoyable holiday, camp was very quite,& the nature around was enjoyable,we even had the owners cat visit us everyday, she went in & checked our caravan out aswell, hee, then sat on my lap for a sleep. Its location is only a 30 mins drive to Arundel castle which was well worth the visit & also close to Bognor Regis for the Pier or crazy golf. We highly recommend this site its not too big & other campers are respectful,we will definately be coming back, thanku for a pleasant stay.
