Onsite, there is a handy small shop and bike hire, with the base of Scafell Pike within 30 minutes!

About the site
Sitting on the edge of the Lake District and just minutes from the coast, this peaceful campsite offers easy access to some of Cumbria's most famous landscapes. You can enjoy great views from your pitch, with regular visits from local wildlife including the resident barn owl! For tent campers, there are 5m x 5m grass pitches, or larger 7m x 7m pitches that also allow trailer tents. Roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes can pitch up on combination hardstanding and grass pitches, measuring a spacious 12m x 6m. All options are available both without electric, or with a 10 amp hook up. Caravans and motorhomes can also upgrade to a fully serviced hardstanding pitch, which includes a 10 amp electric, grey waste and water hook up, measuring 12m x 6m. For a simple glamping stay, the site also offers cosy camping pods for up to two people. These are a great option for couples or friends with two Z-beds and self inflating mattresses. Each pod has electric, lighting and a small heater, with an outdoor chimenea and seating, along with shared facilities close by. Bedding and towels are not provided, so please bring your own. Children can enjoy the football pitch, while dogs have their own exercise area. At reception, guests will find a small shop selling everyday essentials, along with bike hire for exploring the quiet lanes and nearby trails. The local area is easy to explore on foot. Restaurants and pubs in Seascale are within a 30 minute walk, and Drigg train station is around a 20 minute walk away, making days out without the car simple. Open fires are only allowed in the raised fire pits provided, and BBQs must also be raised off the ground. Please note, fire pits are not permitted on the fully serviced pitches. Up to two dogs are also welcome per pitch, although the camping pods are dog free.
Open all year for campervans, caravans and motorhomes, tent pitches and camping pods are available from 15th March to 1st November. Stay from £31/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).
