Clear filters Caldbeck Camping
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 A lovely clean site tucked away on the outskirts of the village, only a 5 minutes walk to the pub, shop and cafes.
The toilets and shower blocks were kept really clean and re-stocked on a regular basis. The pitch was very generous in size with a picnic bench and firepit, logs were available to buy from the friendly and helpful owners.
All in all we had a great time at this little hidden gem.
Excellent small campsite in lovely location
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 This was a lovely clean campsite in an excellent location, will be back. Peace and quiet but within walking distance of beautiful village with great amenities including lovely pub with great food.
Lovely place to stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Great spot for camping, the facilities were so clean & easy to use. The pub was only a five minute walk and had beautiful food and very friendly.
Ideal campsite to use as a base

Really great place to stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Lovely small site next to the river. Peaceful and spotless, including the facilities. Short stroll into the village. We had a great time and would happily stay again in the future.
Great campsite for Cumbria Way
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Stayed one night in the middle of a two day hike. Good location - It was on our route and easy access to pub and shop. Price was very good. Nice area by the river. Facilities were well maintained and clean. Can recommend and would definitely stay again.
Outstanding
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 I arrived earlier than expected, I was met at the entrance by the husband, unfortunately, his name slips my mind. Both husband and wife, I felt went beyond, beyond hospitable.
They let me use a vacant tent to try to dry my things out. I just want to say a massive thank you to both of them. You deserve 10 stars in my book.

No large groups, no parties or rowdiness. Very helpful owners. Beautiful area. Lovely pub and walks, lovely shop. Peaceful, sometimes hard to find a site that's quiet at night especially.

Lovely, quiet site with great facilities
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2023 My friend and I stayed a night on our way up to Scotland. We arrived and the owner was there to meet us. She showed us our pitch and supplied us with logs (at a reasonable price) to use in the fire pit provided. Lovely, quiet site with friendly people. The showers were amazing and clean, toilets too.

Beautiful
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2023 Beautiful campsite by a river that has a deep area for kids to swim, and a shallow area for me and the dogs to paddle and cool down. The site is lovely. The showers and toilets are very clean and there is an area for washing up.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2023 Not a large site but that adds to the character. Nice simple place, quiet and relaxed.
Hot showers and running water plenty with views of sheep and a stream. Pitches are either side of an access track.
Village has nice facilities too.
