Pub had great food facilities really good but did have one shower not working but wasn’t a long wait and it was busy site at the time. Family of 4 would recommend

Our short stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 We chose this location as we were going to Stonehenge for the summer solstice, park and rides were a short drive away.
Very friendly welcome and choice of pitches which suited us fine. The evening meal was amazing, great value.
Facilities for camping were good, maybe the toilets/showers could do with a bit of a tidy but worked fine.
Loved that there was a kettle and toaster to use in the communal kitchen area

Summer solstice weekend

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Lovely little campsite in a very convenient location to expolore the Salisbury Plain area. Basic but decent shower block, urinals but only one loo though. Not the flattest of sites for tents but as long as it's not too busy it's ok. Nice pub, decent food and a little food shack outside. Overall a sweet little site.

Friendly staff, the food we had was excellent and looking at other peoples food that looked really good too.

Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely site. Pub food really good, had live music on Friday night, was great. Ladies toilet was leaking and a bit messy. Shower cubicle was good but outer cubicle was wet and had grass in it. Staff were friendly, lovely place to stay.
Had a good time at the campsite over the bank holiday, they are easy to do deal with and have nice staff

Absolutely lovely little place
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Dec 2025 Absolutely perfect place for our weekend to do the winter solstice at Stonehenge.
Staff in pub were very friendly and lovely, felt really welcomed and the food is gorgeous. Big portions and very cheap (please don't change that). The Baileys hot chocolate was so good, the showers nice and hot, area very well lit but next time, I will be taking a hairdryer with me to use in the kitchen area.
Will be booking again.

Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Oct 2025 What a little gem! In the middle of nowhere is not quite true but on the edge of!
Great for walking holidays but a little distance from touring the area. That said, hosts were very pleasant and run a lovely rural pub, nice beer and food exceptional. Not cheap but well worth it.
We will be going back and other campers I spoke to had stayed before. Well done to you both and the effort you are putting into making it a great venue.
Campsite Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Sep 2025 We found this site to be in a very poor condition.
There were multiple vans on the site that were obviously residential not touring. The toilet block was in a filthy condition when we went to use it on Friday morning. There was an occasional smell of smoke wafting across the site.
It says in their brochure a quiet site. We had cars and heavy goods vehicles constantly running just about 12ft from the back of the pitch and nothing to stop a young child or dog wandering into the road. Most of the fencing and area segregation has collapsed. The rubbish was piled high when we arrived Thursday mid afternoon and the facilities for black and grey water was basically a hole in the middle of a concrete slab.
We left on Friday AM, less than 1 day into our 3 day booking.
Absolutely nowhere to walk the dogs either. We were so disappointed with the site.
Good for groups, but poor facilities for the price Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 Nice location and friendly staff, late check in but facilities were awful. 1 female toilet that was barely attached to the floor, very grubby, piles of furniture and pallets around the site and noisy groups.
Good clean facilities
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Only ended up spending 1 night as I decided to go home early from my skydiving trip.
The campsite itself is great especially if you get a spot next to the river under the trees, great clean abolition facilities, showers were good and everything was clean.
Overall a good place to stay and would choose it again. Location wise for me to the DZ was very convenient.

Rustic
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 What you will find at this location is the owners are super friendly and very chilled.
You are allowed to park where you like on a grass pitch and it is a fantastic location by the river. There are plenty of facilities showers toilets washing up and kettle. However, these locations do need to have more care and attention. I appreciate the owners are still getting to grips with the pub and this could be a staffing issue.

Great campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Jun 2025 Great place to camp for a couple of nights. I was on a cycle holiday.
The pub and campsite is under new management. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The kitchen area on the campsite had a kettle.
I was able to get out of the wind and cook food on my stove in there. Showers were clean and water was hot. The Sunday Roast was very good as was the Ale. The phone box next to the pub has an abundance of books.
The campsite is well maintained right next to the Avon.
Really enjoyed my two nights there. Will come again next year.
Small site in a great location

Basic, but perfect for my trip (toilets, shower) & a great price.
The site would benefit from an update, but as it's under new ownership, I'm pretty sure this will happen. A hidden gem.

Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Sep 2024 We stayed here in our motorhome for 2 nights. we wanted somewhere where we could chill and do absolutely nothing!
The site itself had the normal. Toilets, showers, drinking water etc. On arrival, there was a sign to say phone before entering. We did this and was told where to pitch. I found the customer service not that great to be honest. There was no physical interaction, just on the phone to tell us where to pitch. It would have been nice to have someone physically there to show us the amenities etc.
Saying that, we did have a peaceful stay and had a lovely walk with our dog looking at the river that flows next to the site.
