Lovely location

Lovely place to stay. Could do with slightly better facilities but all the same we loved it and would go again.

Lovely Riverside Location

The campsite is well located, with beautiful surroundings right next to the Broad. It’s a basic campsite with toilets and showers, but it has everything you need for a simple stay. It was a little challenging to find the Ranger to confirm the location of our pitch, but we managed in the end and everything worked out fine. Overall, a pleasant campsite in a lovely location.

Great family one night stay

We stayed for 1 night, Saturday to Sunday. The instructions for the arrival were really good, explained how to drive through, which codes to use. The only issue was it said to speak to the Ranger upon arrival, but you had to walk down to the Broad to find him. Parking was right next to the campsite which was perfect. Drinking water was available which was great. Toilets and shower were available which was great, however the toilets did smell quite bad/strong. Unfortunately our tent space was No. 17 which was next to the toilets - but it's something you just have to accept. It's a part of camping! If you were spaces 1, 16, 17 then you'd likely smell it. The location was really nice, just a 2 minute walk from the campsite was the café, kids park and the dock / broad / lake. We fed the ducks, went in a canoe (hired for £20 from the Ranger) and splashed in the water. As well has had a nice walk. Overall, a great site for families, especially if you like the water and can go out on a boat / canoe / kayak.

Thanks for the thorough review! We're aware about the toilets and have made some changes to them this week, and arranged extra empties to lessen the smell. The hot weather hasn't helped with this. We expect if you came again, there would be a noticeable difference. We're glad you enjoyed your stay regardless.

Really peaceful and beautiful

My 3 year old and I had a lovely time. He enjoyed exploring the lake and asking the ranger questions. They were flexible with check in times when we stuck in traffic. Calm, safe and clean site. We will be back.

Great for camping

Stay was great, enough room, lake very close by, rental for kayaks and canoes was really fun, loads of ducks to feed they sell duck food, small food truck with sandwiches and coffee choices, toilets and showers good quality and clean-ish. They don’t have cartwheels if you have a lot of things to carry. Early mornings you can spot rabbits in the field.

Very relaxing and well kept site. The rangers were fantastic and very helpful. We felt the prices of hiring out the canoes etc quite high but we just went to Cromer instead. Definitely would visit again though, very nice.

No frills but lovely

They're not kidding when they say this is a basic campsite. However, the ranger was friendly, the location is gorgeous right beside the Broad and if you need the comforts of civilization it's about 25 minutes walk from the nearest pub.

Beautiful, peaceful, back to basics site

Great for short stays, amazing location, very peaceful at night, and I loved being able to have a firepit lit. There is a catering truck during the day, and also the option to hire a canoe/kayak or launch your own for a small fee. The rangers were really helpful too. I'll definitely be back 😊

Lovely location

A small, quiet site close to the water. I feel it's only suitable for one or two nights due to limited facilities, but it more than makes up for it with its location.
