Stunning location
Glamping Pod - Executive Ensuite Glamping Pod with Hot Tub Aug 2026 Myself & 2 friends are just back from a 3 night stay. The location is stunning & the drive to get there offers the most beautiful scenery.
We stayed in the Forest lodge which was beautiful. The lodges are well spaced out so you did not feel hemmed in & you can park right outside. The facilities within the Lodge were ideal & the shower was immense! The beds were comfortable & it had almost everything you need for your stay.
However there were a few negatives & these are mostly for advice purposes only. The Lodge had a hot tub which we wanted to use at night but it was so dark outside it would have been too dangerous, so I would suggest bringing a camping light if you would like to use it after dark. There is an outside light but it does not cover that area. The midges were brutal so we were unable to have the doors or windows open so if you would like some air I would suggest taking a fan!
We did speak to reception regarding lighting at the hot tub but we were told no one had ever mentioned it being too dark before as people use them during the day. However considering the park promotes the outdoors for walks etc, a soak in the hot tub is very welcoming so I found this strange. We purchased a camp light & were all sorted though. We did not ask for a fan so this may be available from reception.
There were a couple of small issues with the cleanliness of the Lodge but this was sorted out immediately. None of this would put us off returning. The on site cafe was beautiful too.

Infrequent cleaning Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Infrequent cleaning. I also stayed on the 15th August and the situation and issues were replicated, no changes.
The location is very good. However, I was disappointed in the toilet & shower facilities. Not clean and insufficient for the number of people on site. It appears that the site is accommodating construction/contractors which is fine, but the shower basins and wash hand basins had remnants of frequent use. I stayed again on 15th August and found the same issues. Furthermore, the garbage/refuse area was full and littered with plastic bags all over the ground. Not aesthetically pleasing and perhaps a health concern.
Used the cafe on 1st visit and can say that service and quality of food was very good. I used the area for motorhome and caravan hook up. Grounds in the area need attention.
The cost of £37.50 was the most expensive of my 12 Campsites I used on my journey across Hebrides and Oban/Argyll area. Average cost was £30.

Well run & very friendly. Lovely café. Straight into the forest for walking, perfect for dogs. We had a tucked away pitch which was really private. Lovely little streamside walk and access to the lochside.

The pod we stayed in had comfortable furnishings, a particularly nice shower and an excellent small fridge that did the job well.
I was impressed with the facilities in the communal kitchen. It had everything you'd need. Thoroughly impressed by everything. Friendly, good atmosphere, clean and lovely, in a great location. Totally recommend.

Camping Pod - Ensuite Glamping Pods (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 We had a great stay! The site is well maintained, spotless with lovely staff! The lady cleaning the pods and kitchen was lovely, personable, smiley and is most definitely in the right job!
The only negative is that ours and 2 neighbour's pods had a view from our decking of high bushes. They were in dire need of a trim, not the view I was expecting.

They have thought of everything. All cooking facilities, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery. Lovely building to sit in and watch the large television. Cafe on site. A mobile fish van came round this morning.
Close to the Islay Ferry Terminal. We will definitely be back.
