Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) Aug 2024 Our first outing with our caravan. Lovely site, very clean. Staff very helpful. The Castle Inn is a 10 minute walk, fabulous food.

Lots of things to do nearby - great cycling and walking (easy access to the Granite Way).
Several good pubs nearby. Stayed over bank-holiday weekend.
Beautiful site, amazing service and staff
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 I was really impressed with the Lydford Caravan and Camping site. We were greeted by Neil who gave 11/10 service our whole stay. The site was immaculate and obviously well looked after. The toilet facilities were clean and convenient and had everything you'd need. We were able to access the disabled bathroom which was particularly helpful with our young baby.
The shop was well-stocked and again we experienced really good service there as well. We will definitely be staying again! Can't wait.
My only tiny niggle is that it says electric cars can be charged but there isn't an actual car charging point, so you do need your 3 pin mains adaptor for the car (which we did not bring) to charge it by reception.
But this absolutely wouldn't stop us staying again! We loved the site and can't wait to come back next year
Well maintained site in great location
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) Aug 2024 Lydford Camping & caravan Park is ideally situated for exploring Dartmoor. The staff were very friendly and provided a number of local walks of different abilities. We tried a couple and found them well written and easy to follow. The site facilities were very clean and well maintained. The nearby Castle Inn and Dartmoor Inn offer good food for those who don’t want to cook. I’m sure we’ll be back in the future to explore the area.
Super friendly staff
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Super friendly staff, fantastic, peaceful and well equipped and maintained terrain.
We are having an excellent time at Lydford Caravan and Camping. Louise and Neil gave a heart-warming welcome on arrival. They really know hospitality. The reception is spotless, the shop has all necessary items. Every contact with Louise, Neil, Sandie and Phil was very pleasant. They really take the extra step to make you feel as at home as possible.
Toilets are very clean, terrain is very well kept. One of the best camping experiences I have had in 50 years!
Thanks for your kindness, bringing me to the car rental when our car broke down during our stay!

Great campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2024 Very friendly welcome from Neil and Louise. The site was perfect and great location for taking is the nearby Tors and had an amazing view of the Great Links Tor from our tent.

Nice site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) May 2024 Nice site. Clean and well maintained with friendly staff. A great location with a short walk on to the moors.
Two nice pubs both providing good food within walking distance and a well stocked farm shop nearby. There is a regular bus service to Tavistock and Okehampton.
All in all, a great location.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Extremely friendly, professionally run and spotlessly clean site. Great location within easy walking distance to Lydford, Lydford Gorge and Dartmoor, with many circular walks of various lengths directly from the campsite. Then just a short drive into Tavistock.
All facilities were well maintained and very clean. We stayed on a grass pitch with beautiful views over the moors. Also just a short drive away from the A30 so convenient for arrival and departure. Will highly recommend and hopefully return. Thank you.

Superb in every way
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) Aug 2023 We spent 2 nights at Lydford Caravan and Camping Park and it was wonderful. The wardens were friendly and helpful and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely walks from the site and an excellent pub in easy walking distance.

Toilets and showers were clean and well looked after. Tent spot had a beautiful view over Dartmoor.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) Aug 2023 What a fabulous few nights we had here (despite the rain!). Newbies to all this, it was our first experience staying in a motorhome and we couldn't have chosen a better site.
So friendly and welcoming. Facilities were spotless and the location is great. Lots of lovely walks and super close to Lydford Gorge - National Trust. Perfect stay for foodies too, we had exceptional meals at both the Dartmoor Inn and the Castle (both just a short stroll away). Very dog friendly too, our 2 loved it!
Honestly loved every minute, we'll be back for sure! Thanks for the fantastic stay 😊
Really nice, peaceful site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (8.5m) Jul 2023 Really nice site on the edge of a very pretty village. Lots of good Dog walks and two really nice pubs. Shower/Toilets well maintained and very clean. Good choices in the on site shop.
Local attraction, the Lydford Gorge, is amazing.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Lovely welcoming campsite, that was very clean throughout and the pitches were of good sizes with easy reach of all facilities. Not having to pack up til midday on the day of leaving was perfect, as this gave the tent time to dry from the overnight dew.

We are new to caravaning and Steve and Anita were there to help us. he park is very clean and tidy, the shower block was always spotless.. breathtless views of Dartmoor. Great local food.

Dartmoor break
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 The campsite was close to the Granite Way cycle track to Okehampton and close to Dartmoor with views of the moor from the campsite. The pitches are level to sloping and the toilets, showers and washing facilities are all clean and well looked after.
