A gem of a site!

We wanted to visit Lytham, a place we had never been despite living only 40ish miles away. Friends told us it had a great cafe culture, independent shops and the sort of high street vibe that is sadly in short supply in large parts of the UK. We initially tried to book a camping spot nearer the town but they were full. Determined not to give up I found Donkey Creek Farm. Although based in Freckleton, around 4 miles from Lytham, we decided to book a pitch anyway. The site is undoubtedly lovely- its pristine grounds are obviously well cared for. It’s a haven for hare’s and full of birdsong. We got a warm welcome at reception as well as useful information including a bus timetable. A five minute walk took us to the village centre where we caught one of the frequent buses that serve the area. After a fab day in Lytham we came back into Freckleton for the evening. We’re so glad we did because we found The Ship, a cracking local pub serving wonderful food. Best of all it’s only a five minute walk from the site. We would highly recommend this site and will definitely stay there again.

Lovely

Had a lovely stay here the facilities were excellent! It's a 10 minute walk into Freckleton where there are several pubs, and we also caught the bus there to Lytham😊 Only heard a couple of planes, so wasn't noisy.

Peaceful weekend

This is our third visit to Donkey Creek. It's a smart, well maintained site and peaceful 10 minute walk to the village and local pubs. Our dog loved the exercise field and it's great because it's fenced all the way down.

Perfect stay In every single way

Everything went well from the start. You cannot fault anything in my opinion...perfect. Amazingly clean facilities, staff friendliness, etc... all in all, I strongly recommend Donkey Creek Farm Caravan Site. Thanks.

Nice clean and quiet site

Very easy to get to with the caravan. Facilities are well looked after and very clean. Blackpool, Southport, all within a 20 min drive and loads of shops and amenities close by. Although we didn't walk into the town, it's not far and has a few good looking pubs that could be of interest. The site backs onto a runway used by BAE systems which made for really good watching, only prop planes landing, so no noise issue and sadly, only seen them on the Friday.
