Peterhead

This site is nice and quiet, shower and toilets clean and tidy. It has a working harbour with the marina next to it and you have Peterhead disused prison which is interesting, worth a look overall. Not a bad stop off with shops nearby.

Peterhead stay

A short but enjoyable stay, short walk into town, great location. Facilities are great and the introduction was fantastic with lots of great relevant information.

Fantastic!

Amazing! 1st time users in a campervan, Rhona was so welcoming, helpful and lovely to chat with. A curtesy call was made to say we were running late, and she said she will wait for our arrival. The site was clean and immaculate upkeep with the area and facilities. very easy access to the beach area. I would highly recommend this site to anyone. Thank you for all your help and the power of a slushie will remain strong!

Very quiet place with a sea view

Very quiet campsite near the sea. Family atmosphere thanks to the helpfulness and kindness of the owner. Very well-kept and clean place. There is the possibility of doing laundry. Absolutely recommended. Translated from Italian

Gorgeous campsite with a massive playground for kids

Although I don't like the location (wrong side of the harbour) you get absolutely worth for your money! The lady who welcomes you just manages the campsite with so much passion and maybe even more important, pleasure! She will show you around and helps where needed. The bathrooms are dated but again, the extra touches in the (ladies) bathroom are just gorgeous, there were free pads and tampons and also free toothbrushes and toothpaste! Even a little library with some romans and a good chair with a hairdryer! To make it complete, there were even pink garbage bags and there was already blue water that cancels smells as soon as you flush the toilet! The campsite is very clean and well taken care of. Just outside the campsite is a massive playground that made my kids (ages 5 to 13) very happy and I literally had to drag them out of there for dinner. Overall, this campsite deserves praises, service outdid the few negative points massively!

Little Gem!

This was a little gem of a campsite. Beautiful location, staff on site were really friendly and helpful, our cooking stove ran out of gas on our last day and they lent us an electric one so we could make our breakfast. Facilities are simple but clean and well kept, we will definitely be visiting again.

Enjoyable stay at Marina bay

Staff really friendly, and the location next to the beach was amazing. The facilities were really clean and the site is just outside Peterhead, which had some nice restaurants and cafes. We would definitely go back.

Great wee break

Got a very last minute booking, mid week for a glamping pod at this site. The pod was lovely and very clean. It was basic but it had what we needed. The toilets and showers onsite were very clean, shower pressure wasn't great but we coped. apparently the men's were better than the ladies. The campsite is right on the beach which the kids loved. We booked watersports through Aberdeenshire sailing trust, their instructor Matthew was great. The sailing club is right next door to the campsite and the bay is lovely and calm. It was perfect for learning a new watersport. The kids also did some swimming in the bay. The campsite had a laundry room and a wee shop with just sweets and juice and things. Aldi only a 20 minute walk away for bigger things. It is just a wee campsite, but well run, clean and a happy place to be. The kids didn't want to leave.

Nice place

Overall, a nice place with a nice staff. The beach is really close and as long as you don't seek any wild sea, like on the coast of Aberdeen, you should be fine. If yes, then we recommend not leaving the swimming part of your trip here. Other than that, the camp was perfect.

Welcoming

We didn't find anything that wasn't good on the site. Staff made us welcome, pick your spot, a lovely introduction and welcome from the Warden, not far from town to walk into, a shop on the site, and plenty to occupy the children, Not forgetting the lovely ice cream from the shop.

Happy Days

Amazing site, what a find! Will return. Great location, friendly helpful staff willing to go the extra mile. Have given the facilities 4 stars because they are tired but exceptionally clean. The wardens are clearly proud of their site and it shows. Close to a range of facilities, eateries pubs etc only a short walk into town. Highly recommend.

Flying visit

Touring Scotland and stayed here for just 1 night. Drove past it twice as there are no signs, then ended up in the boating marina. Eventually got to our pitch which was basic but good enough. I'm glad I didn't have a large caravan because the entrance is very narrow. Staff are super friendly and amenities are ample. It was very well lit up at night, so blinds have to be fully closed if you want good sleep. The only thing that annoyed me was some moron was washing a motorhome and was plugged into the clean water tap at the Elsan Point, as I was emptying and rinsing my toilet cassette. It's an okay place, but I won't be staying there again.

Amazing views

Was a very nice welcome. Shop is well stocked, park is great, views were amazing. I think there should be a sign in toilet block for people to clean showers after using them and I was disappointed in the cleanliness of showers and there was no hand soap for 2 days.

Fantastic family holiday - a hidden gem!

Great little site. Has everything you need without being big. The bay is perfect for taking the dingy out or paddle boards. The boys loved crabbing every day. There's a play park on site too. Rhona runs the place, she's ace. Gave us suggested day trips almost every day. We went to many different bays, some fabulous castles and just had the best time. Supermarkets close by if you need to stock up, Peterhead town is a short walk and a fabulous fish and chip shop in the harbour. We stayed in a pod, it was so well-equipped that we didn't need any cooking stuff. You need your own bedding and towels but that's it. We took a fire pit and chilled on site most nights, soaking up the sea view. Kids loved it and so did we. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay

First touring caravan stay for us and the people were extremely helpful. The facilities were excellent and surpassed expectations.

Beautiful clean site almost on the beach

What a beautiful site. Rona the warden very friendly and helpful. The site had clean toilet /shower block, laundry and dish-cleaning areas. A short walk to the shops. The bay was peaceful and relaxing... There were some local teenagers but didn't cause any problems. Would recommend.

Not the prettiest location

If you like the smell of fish, a run down town and dog mess all over the beach and lido, book here. We left after one night. Shame, as the owner was a nice lady, but it is a port and a town with nothing open.

Peterhead gem

What a fantastic location by the beach and the marina. Will definitely recommend to anyone and extremely friendly and helpful. My son and I only stayed one night and will definitely be back. Thanks.

Excellent location on a sandy beach

Site location excellent with a sandy beach. Facilities excellent apart from no heating so a bit chilly. Very welcoming reception with lots of information. 20 min walk into Peterhead town where there are shops and pubs.

Lovely campsite!

This site is lovely! Rhona the warden couldn't have been more attentive, she's a lovely host. The site was clean, organised and has everything you would need. The morning view onto the bay was amazing with the perfect sunrise. Would definitely visit again and recommend to everyone! It is also doggy friendly! Thank you for having us :)
