Clear filters Fantastic stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Lovely stay at this campsite over the weekend with our friends. Great facilities that don't get too busy, firewood available to buy and gorgeous dogs who love to come for a cuddle! Great owner, who is very friendly too, immaculate vibes and fantastic views of the lakes.

Toilets and showers a little rudimentary - no hot water on second morning.
Fire pits available to most pitches which created a lovely atmosphere.

Glamping - Rail Cabins (Dog Friendly) Aug 2023 We stayed in the rail cart and we loved it. We had our own firepit and picnic bench and chairs outside, the views were amazing. The best bit was all the animals roaming around, the goats and the farm dogs and chickens. The showers and oilers were clean and there was a communal area to charge devices....had the best time here and would definitely go back 😊

Beautiful camping in the Lakes
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Absolutely gorgeous views to wake up to. Lovely area out in the countryside. Left to your own devices but the greeting and the help was lovely.
The animals there freely wander around making it fun and feels like you are wild camping but with facilities available.
Simply the best
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Amazing location with a stunning view and level pitches and great shower facilities. Louise was very helpful and responsive to our various requests for firewood and even some chairs to borrow. Will be coming back for sure
Great views, well equipped
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Pitches overlooking a beautiful valley. Goats wandering around and lambs to say hi to. Exactly what I was after. And only a short, maybe 25min, drive into Ambleside.

We stayed in a rail cabin which I couldn't recommend more with a great log burner to keep the chill off in April.
Lovely bank holiday
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 My friend and I stayed at this camp site for the bank holiday weekend which was just perfect. The site is on a working farm with multiple animals and it was so fun to see the animals every morning. The owner was very polite and welcoming when we arrived and she asked us to pitch any where we liked!
The facilities were basic but clean and all you can expect for the great price we paid for the weekend. One slight issue was the water pressure dropped slightly if more than one shower was running at a time.
However, we still had a great time staying here, the location was great for Coniston and the little village of Broughton. The site was so peaceful and quiet which was really enjoyable for a relaxing weekend (except for the cockerels at 5am).
There was lots of walks to do from the campsite and it was also quite easy to navigate to the main roads via car.

Great stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 We had an issue with our tent pegs going into the ground, so Louise kindly put us up in the cabin.
We had a great stay and a great location for Scafell Pike. Thanks again.
Rail cabin stay
Glamping - Rail Cabins (Dog Friendly) Mar 2023 Nice quiet location, lovely views. Just keep in mind there are no local amenities or pubs, the closest is a 40 mins walk (6min drive).

Simple and effective
Glamping - Rail Cabins (Dog Friendly) Jan 2023 Simple and effective. Very basic, but no surprises. Toilets worked, didn’t use showers so can’t comment. Location is very lovely, host was welcoming and friendly. No issues.

Just what we needed
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Really superb camping spot, with friendly animals to keep us company. The toilets and showers were mostly clean, although hot water could have run a bit longer in the showers. Liked that we could walk to the village and enjoyed having our own fire pit. Incredible views across the valley.
Great location with back to basics facilities
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Excellent site for those looking for a nice quiet getaway. Great host, great location, and lovely walks to a decent pub or 2.
Site is basic, but does have toilets,shower and washing pot area, but don't expect hotel luxury, this is a working farm with ducks, geese and even the odd goat or two.
Perfect for those quiet, fire by the campsite nights and will be going back soon.

Chilled camping
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Fab place, very relaxed and friendly. Facilities were fine, but the best part was the lovely views. Got to keep dogs on a lead but a few of the owners dogs roam around.
