About the site

Brocklands Farm nestles in the heart of the South Downs National Park, overlooking Hampshire's stunning Meon Valley. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding by countryside whether you choose to stay in one of the luxurious safari tents or visit the simple caravan site. The site offers a relaxing glamping holiday. In a spacious, grassy field, the two safari tents sleep six and are packed with everything you need for a restful stay immersed in nature. There are two safari tents at Brocklands Farm, affectionately named Yellowhammer and Lapwing. They are situated at either end of a grassy meadow, far enough apart to ensure privacy and your complete peace, but near enough to walk to if your friends are in the other tent. Both tents are the same in size, each sleeping six people in a king bedroom, twin bedroom and double cabin bed, made up with luxurious cotton bed linen. Each tent has its own fully equipped bathroom, with hot water on tap, flushing loos and large walk-in showers. Towels and toiletries are provided to ensure you have a comfortable stay. In the heart of the off-grid living area is a wood-burning stove with a large hob top and oven for cooking. The wood-burner will keep you warm and toasty, while the solar-powered fairy lights, combined with USB powered lighting, will ensure you're never left in the dark. As well as the wood burner, the site provides a gas stove for brewing up a quick cup of tea or coffee when you don't fancy lighting the stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and a welcome hamper containing a few everyday essentials to get you going. Plus, there's a small solar fridge for keeping your wine and milk cool. Outside, there's a sofa, chairs and a table to ensure you can watch the sunset in comfort or relax by the fire pit where you can roast, toast marshmallows or simply enjoy watching the night sky. Pets are welcome on site. Open fires and BBQs are prohibited. Fires must be contained in the fire pits provided by the site.

Brocklands Farm is open from 01/04 to 03/11.

Things to do on site and in the Petersfield area

Set on the slopes of Old Winchester Hill, campers and glampers are welcome to explore the farm via its private tracks. The South Downs Way is accessible at the top of the farm and the village of West Meon is a short off-road walk away, whether you start from the glamping field or caravan site.

At West Meon you'll find a community shop, cafe, prize-winning butcher and the Thomas Lord Pub - which comes well recommended. The Meon Valley Trail for walking and cycling is also accessible from the farm.

Children love to explore the woods at the back of the site or use the rope swing under the oak tree. Space to run around (and a platform on which to sip an evening glass of wine for the adults) are pleasures to be treasured.
