Spend the rest of your days out and about in the glorious Lake District countryside, with Keswick and a host of attractions in reach.

About the site

The farm is only 10 minutes from the pretty villages of Lorton and 20 minutes from the market town of Keswick. Each of the yurts is nicely furnished with space for up to five to sleep (a double sofa bed, single day beds and the option to add an extra mattress). Inside there is everything you need for a comfortable stay, with a kitchen area provided, toasty wood burner and solar lighting. If you don't fancy heading out and exploring, there are board games and magazines to keep your busy and tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided for your perfect cuppa.

Things to do on site and in the Cockermouth area

In this stunning landscape, great days out start with gentle walks and perhaps a picnic in front of breathtaking views. But if you're looking for something more active, you won't go wrong with the shady trees and great bike trails at Whinlatter Forest.

In for a little more? Glaramara Outdoor Activity Centre is within an easy drive and has trained instructors and equipment to get your into everything from ghyll scrambing to rock climbing. If you really want to test your head for heights, try the incredible walkway of the Via Ferrata.

All the family will love meeting the four legged residents at The Lake District Wildlife Park or glimpsing beneath the surface at The Lake District Coast Aquarium Maryport.
